USTA Regional Tournament Segment- July (Columbus)

Our tournament HOST HOTELS are HILTON GARDEN INN @ 812-526-8600 w/ room rates of $104.00 , HAMPTON INN @ 812-526-5100 w/ room rates of $89.00 including breakfast , and COMFORT INN @ 812-526-9899 w/ room rates of $79.00 including breakfast . and HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS @ 812-526-4919 w/ room rate of $94.00 including breakfast. All 4 hotels are right off I-65 exit 76B and less than 10 minutes away from downtown main playing sites. There is lots of shopping and resturants off this exit and easy access to other areas of interest in Columbus. Thank you for using our Host Hotels. Tournament registration will be held Friday , July 6 at Tipton Lakes Athletic Club from 3:00-5:30 pm. PLEASE try to come to the scheduled registration period. At registration you will get your player packet, t-shirt, sponsor coupons, information to your questions, and player match card. This is your responsibility to know tournament schedule and procedures. Players that do not check-in at that time will have to early Saturday before their first match.

The United States Tennis Association requires a signed medical release covering all entrants in national USTA tournaments. The release must be signed by the entrant and also the parent or guardian of any entrant who is a minor. more info

Email or call us with your team partner's name's in advance if you know who you are playing with in tournament.

We will be using 3 locations for tournament play. They are as follows ... MAIN Site Columbus North High School @ 1400 25th Street Columbus 47201 , Donner Park Courts @ 22nd Street and Lafayette Street Columbus 47201 and Columbus East High School @ 230 South Marr Road and Indiana Ave. They are 2-10 minutes apart from each other. Practice courts will be available at Hamilton Lincoln Park , Harrison Lake Country Club , Harrison Ridge Park , and Tipton Lakes Athletic Club. From Interstate 65, turn on 46 West at the Columbus exit and go to the first stoplight, TLAC club is located on the left corner. TLAC and the 3 playing sites are less than 10 minutes apart. All playing sites are located close to downtown area, Malls, Outlet Malls, resturants, movies, parks, and misc.

Draw will be 64 for Singles and 32 for Doubles. Singles will be a Full Feed-in through Quarterfinals. The FIC will be played through the semifinals. No FIC finals will be played. Main Draw will play best of 3 sets and FIC will play best of 3 sets with a Match Tie-breaker in lieu of the 3rd set. Doubles is single elimanation with a 8 game proset / tie-breaker at 8 all. There will be a third and fourth place playoff for singles and doubles. DOUBLES SIGN-UP DEADLINE will be Friday, July 6 at 5:30 pm after player registration period. If you know your doubles team partner, please do sign-up in advance with us.

Players will be selected based on the most current USTA National Standing List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be selected from there by the following process ... 1.) Twelve (12) players will be selected from the top 200 players on the most recent National Standing List of the next younger age division (12's). 2.) Fifty (50) players will be selected from the most recent National Standing List of the division of the event (14's). 3.) Two (2) players may be selected by Wild Card. Unused Wild Cards will be filled by players from the NSL of the division of the event. Remaining vacancies will be filled by players from the NSL of the division of the event. more info

The USTA Regional Championships are a Level 3 National Tournament and Level 3 Midwest Section Tournament.
