USTA Regional Tournament Segment - September (Norman)

Congratulations to our Sportmanship Award winners! B14 William Kaiser (Missouri Valley) and B16 Jacob Walker (Mid-Atlantic).

The times were given based on recovery time required by USTA. There will be courts available. Any team willing to play early can check in and we will put matches on as soon as all 4 players check in. There are two rounds of doubles tonight so we would like to play as soon as players are able.

On Friday, Westwood will be available for practice. Because Friday is not an official day of the tournament, there is a $3 per person court fee. WESTWOOD on the first day and throughout the remainder of the tournament, there is no court charge and the courts will be reserved for 8am matches only (First come, first serve. The courts are NOT locked). NHS will be be reserved for 8am matches on Day 1. On Day 2 and 3, NHS will serve as practice courts. Norman North will be designated practice courts on Day 1 only (IMPORTANT: Please click on link for revised directions. There is construction, so no directions have been posted!!!) more info

We will be using 2 sites on day 1. Westwood Tennis Center (WTC) and Norman High School (NHS). Please check-in for your first match where you are scheduled to play. You can pick up your shirt and packet at Westwood.

Friday's (August 31) registration will take place from 10am-7pm. Doubles entries will close at 7pm. If you wish to place your name on our board for players looking for a partner, please call us or come by the clubhouse sometime before 7pm. REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED. Sept 1: 2 Main draw singles, 1 Consolation singles, 2 Doubles Sept 2: 2 Main draw singles, 2 Consolation singles, 1 doubles Sept 3: 1 Main draw singles, 2 consolation singles, 1 doubles (if needed).

In the case of inclement weather, play might move indoors. If this is the case, players will be charged $10 per match.

Doubles registration will be open Friday, August 31. It will close at 7pm. We will not pair up the players, however, we will have a board which you can search for partners. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is the home of the OKC Tennis Center. This site is 30 minutes or 25 miles north of the Westwood Tennis Center and will be hosting the USTA Regional G12-18 event the same weekend as our event. This may be helpful when trying to get a family or team member in a Regional event in a nearby location.
