REGISTRATION DAY/CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
The MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING IS at 7:00 PM on Friday May 13 at the Baseline Tennis Center, 1815 4th Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455. Player check-in and doubles sign-up begins at 6:00 PM. Players unable to be at registration or the player meeting are required to contact the Tournament Director to discuss the issue for alternative option.

DOUBLES INFORMATION
On-site doubles registration will be completed at the MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING. If you have a partner selected before the player meeting, please e-mail the information to the Tournament Director, Pratt038@umn.edu before the player meeting. Doubles registration will end at 7:30PM and the draws will be prepared and scheduled the night of player meeting. Doubles will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday, starting with Boys 18 doubles. Girls Doubles will start after 2:00 PM Saturday. The first two rounds of doubles will be played indoors. If there is inclement weather, the doubles schedule will change as allowed.

TOURNAMENT SURFACE
The singles portion of this tournament is scheduled to be played on the outdoor courts at the Baseline Tennis Center. Indoor courts will be used in case of inclement weather as well as for some of the doubles matches.

TOURNAMENT HOTELS
The official tournament hotel is the Radisson University which is within walking distance of the Baseline Tennis Center. Due to the National Open coinciding with University of Minnesota graduation, rooms for this weekend are at a premium. The tournament has been given a group rate of $199/night for Club Level rooms at the hotel. The deadline for booking these rooms at this rate is April 29th.
The Club Level rooms include:
-Breakfast for up to 2ppl in either Applebee's or Starbuck's (Valued at $6.00 each)
-$10.00 in the University Lounge for each night of stay
-Complimentary Valet Parking (Valued at $15.00)
-Upgraded room amenities and floor
-Full access to the University of Minnesota Recreation Center (located adjacent to the hotel)

The Days Inn University and the Holiday Inn Metrodome are also on the U of M campus.
Any hotel in the downtown Minneapolis or Roseville area should be within a 10 minute drive of the facility.

DRAW AND MATCH FORMATS
All Main Draw Singles (including play off for 3rd & 4th place) will be best of 3 Tiebreak Sets. All Feed-In Championship Matches are best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in Lieu of a 3rd Set. All Doubles Matches are an 8 Game Pro Set with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak at 8 games all.

DRAW INFORMATION
Draw will be prepared on May 9 at 5:30 PM at the Baseline Tennis Center, 1815 4th Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455. The draw will be posted on the Tournament page on Wednesday after 5:00 PM, May 11, 2011.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The event will start with Girls singles at 8:00 AM followed by Boys singles at approximately 2:00 PM. Doubles will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday, starting with Boys 18 doubles. Girls Doubles will start after 2:00 PM Saturday.
Day 1: Singles--Main draw round of 32 and round of 16, Consolation draw-- Round 1, Doubles--Round of 16 and quarterfinals
Day 2: Singles--Main draw quarterfinals and semifinals, Consolation draw--Round 2 and qualifying quarters, Doubles--Semifinals
Day 3: Singles--Main draw Finals and 3rd place, Consolation draw--quarterfinals and semifinals, Doubles--Finals and 3rd place.

INDOOR BACKUP POLICY
Due to inclement weather the Baseline Tennis Center has 10 indoor courts available for play.
|
PRACTICE COURTS
7:00-8:00am each morning practice courts will be available free of charge. Players will sign up for practice courts the day before or morning of on a 1st come 1st serve basis. There may be up to 4 players on each court. Players will receive a half hour voucher of free court time for practice. Additional practice time as allowed on outdoor courts is free of charge if available. Indoor practice courts are available at a rate of $20 per hour unless weather requires the event to move indoors.

Wilson Extra Duty. New balls for 3rd set.

DRESS CODE
Appropriate tennis attire is required. Please no torn clothing or jeans. Absolutely no running shoes or cross trainers allowed. Only shoes made specifically for tennis.

PARKING
Due to the close proximity of the Baseline Tennis Center to 4 major athletic venues, parking may be at event rates (up to $10.00/car) with no in/out privileges. Metered parking is available behind the building at $1.25/hr (quarters only) as available. Please consider carpooling, walking a longer distance, etc. to minimize the impact of these events. SEEDING

HITTING PROS
Hitting pros will be available for the event and you must sign up a day in advance through the tournament director at Pratt038@umn.edu. Rates are $35 for 30 minutes or $65 for an hour.

RACQUET STRINGING
Racquet stringing is available at the Baseline Front Desk. If you have your own string it will be $19 per racquet. Baseline also has a large selection of Babolat string ranging in price from $26-$40.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 14, 2011 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
