SPORTSMANSHIP WINNER ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to Johnathan Small of Midland, Mi. on being selected to receive the sportsmanship award at the B14 National Open in Frisco. Johnathan was chosen by the tournament committee for this
honor for displaying outstanding character on and off the court during the entire tournament.

Clubhouse opens at 8am, so when you arrive early to hit, please park at the top left of lot and enter through side gate.

Friday -May 13 - 4pm - 7pm - Check in upstairs and practice courts available, contact christi
Saturday -May 14 - 8am - player meeting and group picture , also on site alternates check in between 7:30 am - 8am
Saturday, 3pm - 5pm -Player get-together in the lounge, free food and drinks will be provided. We have ping pong, foosball, big screen tv and free wi-fi.
4:45 pm tentative time for doubles to begin
Sunday - May 15th - Singles main and consolation continues
Doubles concludes
Monday - May 15- Singles concludes

We will have practice courts available on Friday from 4pm- 7pm

If demand is high, we will book 1/2 ct for 1/2 hr.

MEDICAL RELEASE
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player.
NOTE: A PLAYER'S COACH OR OTHER ADULT WHO IS NOT THE LEGAL GUARDIAN MAY NOT SIGN THE FORM FOR THE PLAYER. The form will be at the end of the confirmation email a player receives when they have been accepted into the tournament. If you do not have a medical release, please email christi@lakestennis.com and I will send you one. Print and sign release to bring to tournament , email or fax to 972-668-5255 now , attention Christi . PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON-COURT WITHOUT THIS SIGNED RELEASE!

USTA MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
PLEASE CHECK YOUR USTA Membership information.
Juniors must list their contact information for each tournament they enter. Privacy restrictions do not allow the information to be downloaded automatically.
Check that your USTA Membership is current, your address and telephone numbers are correct and that you have listed alternate (work and/or mobile) phone numbers.
Please check your cell numbers and email address carefully so we will have a way to reach you.

FORMAT
FORMAT
The format for Singles will be best of three tie-break sets, regular scoring, in the Main draw, with a full feed-in through the quarter-finals.
Consolation is required. The format for Consolation will be best of three sets, with a 10-point Match Tie-break in lieu of third set.
Singles Consolation under the new regulations require that Consolation end with the Semi Final round (no Consolation Final will be played).
The format for Doubles single elimination, 8-game prosets, regular scoring, with a Match Tie-break (10-point) at eight-all.
Formats may be adjusted due to weather.
Both Singles and Doubles will require a 3/4 Playoff in the Main Draw.

WELCOME TO THE LAKES TENNIS ACADEMY IN FRISCO TEXAS HOST TO MAY B14 NATL
The 2011 USTA National Open Boys’ 14s is a USTA Junior National Championship and is sanctioned by Competition and Training Committee. Beginning this year 2011, this event will be a three-day tournament, and a 32-draw in singles .
B14 doubles is also offered..16 draw.

DEADLINE
The deadline for this tournament is April 14, 12:00 PM Noon, EST.
Note that the deadline is Noon, not Midnight, and it is based on Eastern Standard Time
All players are required to enter this event on-line through the USTA's TennisLink registration system because the selection process is done electronically

Doubles Information
Doubles draw is limited to 32 players (16 teams).< br>
Players please try to enter doubles on-line at the time of registration.
You may email christi@lakestennis.com if you need help finding a doubles partner. I will be glad to assist you.
I would like to try to get all doubles paired up early
Doubles is single elimination, with awards for First, Second, Third and Fourth place. Note: A Playoff for 3/4 is required in Doubles.
Doubles draws will be made and posted by 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 14, with play beginning late Saturday afternoon.
Two rounds of Doubles will be scheduled Saturday,
Finishers are reminded to register for the USTA National Clay Court Championships before the entry deadline using TennisLink.

For Singles: On-site Alternates (OSAs)may check in at the tournament desk on Saturday, May 14, after 7:30 AM, but no later than 8:00 AM.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 14, 2011 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
