Sportsmanship
Congratulations to Sara Kelly of Overland Park, KS (Mo Valley) for being selected to receive the Sportsmanship Award for the USTA National Open Championship Girls' 14s at Arlington Tennis Center. Sara was observed exhibiting appreciation for her opponents’ play, as well as her own, on the court, and her interaction with other players and tournament/facility staff was also exceptional. We appreciate the great example Sara set for the other players as a tennis competitor and as a young adult.
We were more than blessed at this tournament with many other players who were deserving of recognition for their outstanding sportsmanship. Those players include:
- Rebekah Anderson (La Mirada, CA) for her fun and enthusiastic attitude on and off the court
- Reagan Collins (Lubbock, TX) for her eagerness to play, terrific attitude and interaction with other players
- Mimi Levine (Santa Monica, CA) for her warm personality and willingness to assist and support other competitors
- Melissa Pick (Albuquerque, NM) for her postive attitude and interaction with other players
- Ellie Zogg (Dallas, TX) for her great personality and willingness to assist other players
