TOURNAMENT DRAW AND MATCH FORMATS
Draw Sizes. All singles draws shall be 32 players. Doubles draws must be held and shall be a maximum of 16 teams.
Singles Feed-In Championship (FIC) Required. All singles draws must have a Feed-In Championship (FIC) that feeds players in through the Quarterfinals. The FIC shall be played through the semifinals. No finals shall be played. The FIC shall be considered part of the tournament and participation is mandatory for all singles main draw players. The standard bye placement method described in USTA Regulation II.B.4.d.i. shall be used.
Singles and Doubles 3rd/4th Place Playoffs Required. All singles and doubles draws shall have a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. All players are required to play the third and fourth place playoff.
Match Format - Boys’ and Girls’14 Division. Match Formats are annually subject to change and approval by the Junior Competition Committee. Refer to Friend at Court for updates. As of January 1, 2011, the authorized formats are as follows:
• Main Draw Singles (including play off for 3rd & 4th place): Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets
• Feed-In Championship Matches: Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in Lieu of a 3rd Set.
• Doubles Matches: 8 Game Pro Set with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak at 8 games all.

TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
Tournament Withdrawals Before Entry Deadline. Before entries close, a player may withdraw from a tournament. A withdrawing player’s credit card has not been charged and therefore no further communication between the withdrawing player and the tournament is necessary.
Tournament Withdrawals After Entry Deadline. After entries close, players are instructed to immediately contact a tournament if they need to withdraw. Bona fide reasons for a withdrawal are illness, injury, and personal circumstances. Players may NOT withdraw from one site in order to gain acceptance into another site. Specific procedures are in place for a player may submit a written request to move to another site.
All withdrawals for reasons other than illness, injury, and personal circumstances or withdrawals for any reason without the proper written notification are actually defaults and Code of Conduct Reports should be completed for each defaulting player even though an alternate may take that defaulting player’s place in the draw. See “Section 4 - Suspension Point System.”
Written Notification Requirements for Withdrawals. In order for a withdrawal to be bona fide and, if after the draw is made or after play starts, coded as “Withdrawal” or “Walkover” on the draw sheet, the player must fulfill the following written verification requirements:
• Injury or Illness Written Verification Requirement: If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall deliver written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional to the Referee no later that the last scheduled day of the tournament.
• Personal Circumstance Written Verification Requirement: If the player is not playing because of a personal circumstance, the player shall deliver a written deion of the situation no later that the last scheduled day of the tournament and the Referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal circumstance.
Replacement of Withdrawing Players After the Draw is Made. The Tournament Committee shall replace a player who withdraws, is defaulted, or is otherwise removed from the draw after the draw is made, but before the player’s first match with next highest remaining alternate.
Refund of Entry Fees. A Tournament Committee is only required to refund a player’s entry fee if:
• the entry is not accepted
• the withdrawal is for previously authorized entry into another tournament or
• the withdrawal is for an authorized change by the player to another site.
In all other cases (such as withdrawals for illness, injury or personal circumstances), a refund is not required.
