PRIZE MONEY
Prize money will equal total entry fees collected. Maximum $5,000 with breakdown of 50% to the winner, 30% to runner ups and 20% to Semi finalist.

FORMAT
Men's doubles, we are allowing all level players including juniors to particpate in this tiebreaker tournament.

SCORING
The scoring format will be shortened to create more excitement and a sense of urgency to play well! Each match wll consist of two out of three Super tiebreakers instead of sets. The first person to 10 points wins the tiebreaker. You must win 2 tiebreakers to win the match.

There are many ways to enter this tournament. You DO NOT have to be a USTA player to participate. 1. You can enter on line if you are a USTA member in good standing 2. OFFICIALS
We will have certified USTA official roving and chair umpire and ball boys on center court. Poor sportsmanship or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Ladies clinic and playday with lunch, Friday morning 9a-12p Prize money tournament starts Friday at 4pm and finishes Friday night. NO MATCHES ON SATURDAY!! The Pro Am sponsor tournament is saturday 9-12, followed by lunch 12-1, Exhibition match begins at 1:00 pm. Kids Carnival scheduled for 3:00pm and is FREE for kids!

EXHIBITION MATCH
The Exhibition Match will be played from 1-2:30pm. We will have special guests play in the Exhibition.

LIVE AUCTION
Live Auction will take place May 15th, at 6:30 pm in the main clubhouse. All tennis sponosrs and players are encouraged to particpate. Several great trips will be auctioned off in George's memory.

FIRST ANNUAL GEORGE C. MCINGVALE, JR. GOLF & TENNIS CLASSIC
TO BE HELD MAY 15 AT NORTHGATE COUNTRY CLUB
Memorial Event to Benefit St. Luke's Episcopal Health System and American Heart Association
HOUSTON (April 16, 2009) - In memory of their brother, George McIngvale, Jr., Jim "Mattress Mack" and Ralph McIngvale are hosting the First Annual George C. McIngvale, Jr. Memorial Golf & Tennis Classic benefiting St. Luke's Episcopal Health System and the American Heart Association. The event, to be held on Friday, May 15, at the Northgate Country Club, will include a shotgun modified golf scramble as well as a doubles tennis tournament and other tennis events. A live auction and cocktail reception will immediately follow the tournaments.
"We want to celebrate our brother's life while honoring his tradition of giving back to the community," said Ralph McIngvale. "With his love of sports, especially golf and tennis, it seems only fitting to hold this tournament in his honor."
Tennis activities include a doubles tournament, which begins on Friday at 3 p.m., with prize money offered. A Ladies Drill and Play Day begins at 9 a.m. and includes fun drills and doubles round robin play followed by lunch and a silent auction. Tennis activities continue through Saturday with a Tennis Pro Am Tournament from 9 a.m. until noon, Exhibition Match from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Tennis Carnival for children from 3 to 5 p.m. For more information about the tennis tournament and other tennis events, call 281-210-4544.
