Singles matches are ‘tentatively’ scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m., and the first of two rounds of doubles would begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. (earlier, if possible). INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLAYING DOUBLES!
WE WANT YOU!!! DON'T MISS THE DOUBLES EVENT! All players who are selected into the tournament are eligible to play doubles, regardless of whether or not you signed up online. Actually, even if you did sign up online, you still need to contact us. ALL PLAYERS WHO WANT TO PLAY DOUBLES NEED TO E-MAIL THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR TO CONFIRM THEIR ENTRY. If you already have a partner, include your partner’s name in your e-mail. We will enter your team into the doubles event. If you need help finding a partner, we will do our best to assist you. Send us an e-mail, including phone numbers, and we will forward your request on to other players seeking doubles partners. ***For privacy reasons we do not give out contact information that we have on file unless we have permission from the player. We will assist players with the initial contact, and the player can take it from there. If you are in the singles event and do not want to play doubles, please e-mail us to let us know so that we might make that spot available to any alternate who would like to play doubles. We will start doubles play on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day), sometime after the first round of doubles is completed, and will be playing two rounds of doubles on that day. For that reason, it would be very helpful if we had all the teams confirmed by Wednesday, November 25. To confirm your doubles entry, please send your e-mail confirmation to Wendy Franz at franz@midlandtennis.com
Your name will not show up on the list of players in the doubles event until you confirm with us (even if you signed up online). Continue to check the updated doubles event list as teams are added (link is at the top of this page under "Tournament Reports").
