Long Beach Airport is 1.9 Miles from Lakewood courts, Los Angeles Airport is 22.0 Miles & Orange County (John Wayne) is 23.6 Miles. If you can get a flight into Long Beach Airport that would be the best. El Dorado Park Tennis Center is about 4.9 miles from Lakewood Tennis Center

REFUNDS
A player shall now receive an entry fee refund if: • the entry is not accepted • the withdrawal is for previously authorized entry into another tournament or • the Tournament Committee has received written verification no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament that the withdrawal is for injury, illness, or personal emergency. Injury or Illness Written Verification Requirement: If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall deliver written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional to the Referee no later that the last scheduled day of the tournament. Personal Emergency Written Verification Requirement: If the player is not playing because of a personal emergency, the player shall deliver a written condition of the situation no later that the last scheduled day of the tournament and the Referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal emergency. In all other cases, a refund is not required.

Draws
The draws will be posted on Friday May 21st. We do NOT take time requests. You must be available to play at any time during the tournament dates.

Doubles
ALL PLAYERS wanting to play doubles must sign-up by 2pm on the first day of the tournament. WHEATHER OR NOT YOU SIGNED UP ONLINE we will have a doubles sign-up sheet available at all tournament desks. if you need a partner, sign up and we will help to match you with another person who needs a partner. All doubles matches are an 8 game pro set with a match tie-breaker at 8-8. it is not the responsibility of the tournament to match a player with a partner, but we will do our best to help. Just because you emailed me about playing does not mean you do not have to sign up on the first day of the event.

Check-in
Players are required to check-in 1/2 hour before their scheduled match time at the location stated on the draw.

On-Site Alternate
If you want to show up as an on-site alternate, Boys must show up at Lakewood Tennis Center 1/2 hour before the first boys match starts. The girls must show up at Lakewood Tennis Center 1/2 hour before the first Girls match starts. Sign in and we will take players by order of the national standing list (Players who are already on the alternate list have priority over players who are not.)

Seeding Method:
The Computerized List Method of seeding will be used for the tournament. Refer to Table 17 in 2009 Friend at Court for the seeding criteria.

The NSL used for selection will be published on 4/15/10 and for
seeding on 5/5/10.
For entry, use the USTA Registration System.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 15, 2010 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
