MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS....
For ALL PLAYERS, the USTA requires a medical release form that is SIGNED by the PARENT or GUARDIAN. NOTE: A PLAYER’S COACH or ANY OTHER ADULT WHO IS NOT THE LEGAL GUARDIAN MAY NOT SIGN THE RELEASE FOR THE PLAYER/PARENT. To help speed up the check in process, PLEASE click on “More Info” at the end of this message to print the form fill it out and bring it to the tournament. ALTERNATE SITE for DAY 1 ONLY
Due to court availability and time constraints we will be using the Billie Jean King Tennis Center as an alternate site for DAY 1 ONLY. When checking the draw be sure to note the site for all matches on the first day. On the draw BJK is the Billie Jean King Tennis Center and ELDO is the El Dorado Park Tennis Center. You can get directions to BJK below from Google Maps, see below............

CHECK-IN LOCATION:
If your first round match is at BJK, go directly to BJK Tennis Center with your completed medical release and check-in with the Tournament Desk there. If you plan showing up as an ONSITE ALTERNATE, you should check-in with the Tournament Desk at El Dorado Park Tennis Center before 7:45 am. All other players playing their first round match at ELDO, should check-in at El Dorado Park.

ON-SITE ALTERNATE PROCEDURE:
The players on the Alternate List are eligible to be on-site alternates. The order will be based on CURRENT Ordered Alternate List posted on this website. If you plan to show up to be a on-site alternate you must check-in at the Tournament Desk by 7:45 at EL DORADO PARK TENNIS CENTER Saturday, July 3.

DOUBLES INFORMATION.....
....IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU REGISTERED FOR DOUBLES ONLINE......ALL PLAYERS wanting to play doubles can OFFICIALLY sign-up at the tournament desk during first day of the tournament, JULY 3. We will have a Doubles Sign-up Sheet available at the Tournament Desk. If you need a partner at sign up, we will try to help match you up with another player who needs a partner. Doubles play will begin on the DAY 2 of the tournament. The Doubles draw will consist of 32 teams max. ALL DOUBLES MATCHES ARE AN 8 GAME PRO SET WITH A MATCH TIE-BREAKER AT 8-8.

PRACTICE COURT INFO:
The El Dorado Park Tennis Center will be using ALL 15 courts during the first three days of the tournament starting at 8:00 am until after doubles matches are completed. On Friday, July 2, El Dorado Park and Billie Jean King Tennis Center will be open from 7:00 am until 9:30 pm. and there should be practice courts available. Court availability will be on a first come first serve basis. YOU MUST MAKE A RESERVATION TO GUARANTEE A PRACTICE COURT and check-in at the front desk to pay the court rental fee. Due to a junior program at ELDO, availability will be difficult from 3:30-6:00 pm. Billie King Tennis Center has eight courts available on Friday, but they will be limited on DAY 1 of the tournament. After Day 1, you may call BJK Tennis Center FOR A RESERVATION. Check-in at the front desk and Please do not walk on any open courts without permission or a court reservation..............12 Additional courts maybe available at the RHODES TENNIS CENTER at Long Beach State University. Those courts are on a first-come first-serve basis and there may be a fee to use their courts as well. The Rhodes Tennis Center is located, next to George Allen Field and Lot 11 off of Palo Verde Road, just behind the construction zone for the new Student Wellness and Recreation Center. Directions will be available at the tournament desk.

RACQUET STRINGING INFO:
There will be two stringers on staff at all times during the tournament. We carry most of the popular brands of string. We use top-quality string products offered by Wilson, Gamma, Prince, Gosen and Babalot. Our restringing prices start at $15.00 and go up to $49.99 for Natural Gut.

ATTENTION ALL ALTERNATES
The Alternate List has been ordered and posted. If you are on the alternate list, we need ALL your current contact information so that we can reach you right away. The USTA database may not contain your current phone numbers. Please e-mail us your info as soon as possible. If we cannot speak to you in a timely manner, we will need to contact the next player on the list. PLEASE, if you get into another site for the July National Opens, let us know as soon as possible so that we can remove your name from our list. If you are on the alternate list your credit card was not charged the registration fee during the selection process, so please have a valid credit card available when you are contacted. Thank you!

AIRPORT INFO:
The Long Beach Airport (LGB) is 3.61 miles from the El Dorado Park Tennis Center. The Los Angeles Airport (LAX) is 24.2 miles through heavy traffic & John Wayne Airport (SNA) is 19.5 miles. If you can get a flight into Long Beach Airport, or John Wayne Airport would be a whole lot easier than LAX.

WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS
PLEASE use TennisLink for All tournament withdrawals BEFORE the entry deadline. ALL withdrawal requests AFTER the entry deadline must be made in writing along and emailed to the Tournament Director at (first.serve@verizon.net). Requests must include player name, USTA number, a detailed reason for the withdrawal, mailing address, and phone number along with WRITTEN VERIFICATION(DR’S NOTE). SEEDING CRITERIA
For all USTA NATIONAL OPENS, the following criteria shall be used to do the seeding: with a draw of 64 and using the most recent published National Standings List for the division.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 3, 2010 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
