Sunday 7:00 update
We are finishing the last singles matches and then beginning doubles. We will get done as many matches tonight as we can. All remaining doubles matches will go on at 8:30 tomorrow. I am planning for rain tomorrow and have entered new times for all the singles and doubles matches for tomorrow. All matches will be at the Park City Racquet Club. If you don't play doubles tonight - you are on at 8:30 tomorrow. If you have singles Consolation singles - look at your new time on the draw. Main draw times have changed also.

Practice Sunday Morning
There are only a few doubles matches at 8:30 tomorrow. So - there should be plenty of warmup courts outside for the girls. We also have the indoor courts open for warmup. Plan on all matches being outdoors tomorrow in Park City! The club will open at 7:00am

NEED YOUR PHONE NUMBERS!
If you are NOT checking in on Friday, please send me an e-mail with a cell phone number to reach you in case the weather is inclement Saturday morning. If we need to reschedule matches indoors here and in Salt Lake, we can reach you and give you your new match time. Thanks

Weather
The weather this time of year is changeable. Please bring clothes to wear in somewhat colder conditions. We are aware that there may be rain in the area during the tournament and have secured indoor courts to continue play. We have enough indoor courts secured at our facility and in Salt Lake (30 minutes away) to make sure the tournament can still finish on time. Be at ease - we will take care of you!

Seeding & Draws
Seeding was done based on the National Standings list of May 12. The tournament director has received approval from the National office for the seeds, so they are now posted. The singles draw will post on Wednesday. Please be aware that the draw will be done based on playing outdoors. If rain occurs, we will post new match times as we re-group.
|
Doubles draw
The doubles draw will not be done until noon on Saturday, May 22. This will allow all girls who are interested in playing to find partners. I am happy to partner girls up on Saturday if they want to play, but don't have a partner. Doubles may start Saturday evening, but most likely not until Sunday. Please let me know if you want to play doubles and are not currently entered into the doubles draw.

Directions to Park City Racquet Club
From the Salt Lake Airport, follow directions toward I-80 EAST. Sometimes it will say toward "Cheyenne". You will merge with I-15 for a few miles, but just keep following the I-80 East signs. You will cut across Salt Lake and begin climbing a canyon (Parley's Canyon) for about 20 minutes. After you pass the Jeremy Ranch exit, you will want the next exit - Kimball Junction/Park City. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right and you are now on Hiway 224 - the main road into town. Follow this for approximately 5 miles. You will see a large a white barn on your RIGHT. After the barn, you will want the 2nd stop light. Turn left here onto Holiday Ranch Loop Drive. (The Peaks Hotel is on this corner). Follow Holiday Ranch Loop for approximately 1/4 mile to a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign onto Little Kate Road. The club is up a few hundred yards on your left. Welcome! Front desk phone number is 435-615-5401. Address is 1200 Little Kate Rd. Park City, UT 84060.

Medical Release
Please bring your filled out and signed medical release with you to the tournament. You MUST have this presented before you will be allowed to play. If you do not have one, we will have them at the tournament, but it must be a parent (not a coach or friend) that signs it. I can e-mail or fax one to you if you need it. Thanks!

Hotel Accomodations
The Park City Peaks Hotel is the official hotel for the tournament. The hotel is less than 1/4 mile away. Rates are $59/night. The hotel does not hold rooms for the tournament, but please mention "Girls National 14s" to get the $59/night rate. Phone number is 435-649-5000.

Tournament Check-In
The tournament desk will be open on Friday throughout the day for girls to check-in. There is no mandatory player meeting. You may choose to check-in 30 minutes before your first match on Saturday if you like. But - the earlier you check in...the better chance of getting the shirt you want!
|
Player Party & Gift Exchange
There will be a player party for Girls and their families/coaches on Saturday night at 7:00pm. Food and soft drinks will be provided. We would like to have a gift exchange among the girls that night. Please bring a gift of approximately $10. Something from your home state would be great, but it does not need to be that. The girls will draw numbers and get to choose a gift out of the piles. Hope you will participate!
|
High Altitude Balls
Park City is located at 7000 feet altitude. We do use Wilson's special high altitude balls for play. Don't bother bringing balls from your low altitude home - they will bounce over your head here! We will have plenty of hoppers of used balls for the girls to practice with.
|
Water on courts
The club does have water on the courts, but no containers. Please bring your own water bottle. Thanks!

Practice Courts & Pros to hit with Thursday and Friday
The Racquet Club will have 2 outdoor courts set aside all day on Thursday and Friday before the tournament for girls to walk-on and practice at no charge. There are also other public courts nearby to practice on at no charge. If you would like to reserve a court to guarantee a time for yourself, the cost will be $9/hr. These courts will not use up the walk-on courts and will be on a "'as available" basis. The girls can begin reseving these courts on May 8. We will also have pros on staff who can hit with the players. Hitting lessons are $50/hr. Regular instructional lessons are $60/hr. Please contact Laurie to set up a time to hit with a pro. You can call the front desk at 435-615-5401 to book a court, but you must book the pros through Laurie. Please contact Laurie by e-mail to book a pro. E-mail is llambert@parkcity.org

Practice Courts Saturday & Sunday
Saturday and Sunday will be the busiest days of the tournament. We will have 2 or more practice courts set aside indoors at the club for walk-on. There will also be maps available to several different public courts nearby where the girls will have priority. In order to keep the practice courts available for the most girls, we will NOT be allowing the girls to book courts for warmups with pros on Saturday and Sunday - it will be walkon only. There will be a pro available to hit with the girls if they do not have anyone else to hit with. If you walk on and hit with the pro, it will be $20/half hour.
|
Indoor Courts
The PC Racquet Club has 7 outdoor courts (where all matches will occur) and 4 indoor courts. If you book a court specifically indoors, (early morning or late evening after it is too dark or cold to play outside), you will need to pay $22/hr for the courts. If you wanted an outdoor court to warmup on, but only indoor courts were available, you will only be charged the outdoor rate of $10/hr.
|
Tournament Sites
The majority of matches will take place at the Park City Racquet Club. Check-in for all matches will be here. We will be using the Park City Public Park, located 1 mile away, for some matches the 1st two days. If players are travelling together, I will make sure they are playing at the same site during the tournament.
