We do not have telephone numbers for everyone on the alternate list. Please email us the best number to reach you. If we don't have a phone number, you may be skipped over when we are trying to reach alternates to fill open spots.

ON-SITE ALTERNATES
Any alternate desiring admittance must check in and be ready for play no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match time of the event for which they are an alternate. The order of alternates is based on the original Alternate List published by this tournament, not a more recent National Standings List, and not in the order in which the players check-in.

AIRPORTS
For those of you flying in, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport is about 40 minutes south of the club and the Dayton airport is about 50 minutes north of the club. FYI..Quite often, you can get cheaper flights into Dayton.

SEEDING METHOD
The Computerized List Method of seeding will be used for the tournament. Refer to Table 17 in the 2009 Friend at Court for the seeding criteria

DOUBLES
If you already know who you are playing doubles with, please email us with your partner's name (dorianna.queencity@inbox.com). If you do not have a partner and would like to play, you can still sign up during check-in on Friday evening. We'll try to match you up if you don't know anyone. The deadline to sign up for doubles is 7pm on Friday evening (end of check-in).

MEDICAL RELEASE
All players must turn in a medical release/waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Please download this form at the USTA web site by clicking on the link provided, so that you will have it at check-in.

CHECK-IN / START TIMES
Player check-in will be Friday, Feb 12 from 4-7pm at Queen City. First round match times will be available on the tournament webpage by Wednesday Feb 10 at 6pm.

MATCH SCHEDULE
We will be playing two rounds of singles in the main draw as well as one round in the backdraw on Saturday. Girls matches will start first on Saturday followed by the boys matches beginning after lunch. Doubles will begin Sunday afternoon. We'll play two rounds of doubles each day so we can try to finish the doubles by Monday.

PRACTICE COURTS
To guarantee a practice court time, players may call the club to reserve and prepay with a credit card at the rate of $13 per half hour. REFUND OF ENTRY FEES
A player shall receive an entry fee refund if 1) the entry is not accepted 2) the withdrawal is for previously authorized entry into another tournament 3) if the player is not playing because of injury or illness, the player shall deliver written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional to the Referee no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament 4) if the player is not playing because of a personal emergency, the player shall deliver a written deion of the situation no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament and the Referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal emergency. In all other cases, a refund is not required.

LEVEL / FORMAT / SCORING
This is a National Level 2 and a Midwest Level 3 event. Singles draws will be 64 with full feed-in through the quarters and playoffs for 3/4 place. Singles matches will be best of three tie break sets. Doubles will be 8 game pro sets with a 10 point match tiebreak at 8 all.

NEW PROCEDURE FOR ORDERED ALTERNATE LIST
Ordered Alternate List. • Players in positions up to 600 from the National Standings List of the division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List • Players not already placed on the alternate list in positions up to 400 from the National Standings List of the next-younger division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List • Players not already placed on the alternate list whose names appear on the National Standings List of the division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List • Players not already placed on the alternate list whose names appear on the National Standings List of the next-younger division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List and • The remaining entrants in an order determined by lot.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 14, 2010 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
