Tournament Background and NO QUIT Award Mr Agassi has teamed up with Marty Hennessy and Ryan Wolfington to host a tournament where kids are treated like pros. Marty Hennessy has been running this tournament for over 25 years. All the Agassi's have played it. Now, Mr. Agassi invites you to come to join him as he watches you battle it out and most of all, never, ever quit. Mike Agassi was born poor in Iran where he defined the "NO QUIT" spirit becoming an Olympic boxer and then defecting to America. Training his son to become one of the best players of all time, Mike Agassi has helped make popular "taking the ball on the rise." Concepts of the modern day ball machine are a result of his genius, as well. Most of all he is a kind and decent man. Come meet Mr. Agassi and show him your character. At Mike Agassi's "NO QUIT" Championships character is everything. The Mike Agassi "NO QUIT" award goes to the one player that displays an unbridled willingness to never quit.

Directions to sites from Hilton, Darling, etc.
Directions use surface streets and avoid interstates. The directions may not be what your GPS recommends, but they limit the numbers of turns. Interstates and limited-access highways are avoided because they have the potential to create delays from which you cannot escape. The travel times may be longer, but it's easier to recover from a missed turn on surface streets.

6 entrants are selected who are highest on the most current standings of the next lower age group, provided that they are in the top 200 listed. 25 entrants are selected who are highest on the most current standings of the age group of the event. Attention..... Entering Los Caballeros, El Conquistador, Kentucky Derby and other conflicting events? Any alternate or main draw player found on the Los Cab or El Conquistador Applicant list on Sunday, August 22 and thereafter will be removed from the NO QUIT tournament or alternate list without contacting the player. USTA regulations prohibit entering overlapping events without both tournaments' permission. Players do not have permission to enter overlapping events. NO QUIT alternates will need to withdraw from No Quit before entering Los Cab or any other event. Players accepted into the main draw of the NO QUIT will be assessed suspension points if they enter Los Cab. It is not fair to have players on the alternate list who will probably drop out at the last minute. Alternates need to be able determine where they actually stand on the list so that they can make informed travel plans.
|
Wild Card Applications Players desiring wild cards should submit a narative explaining why you are deseving. Wild Card selections will be made by September 10. The Boys' 18 and Girls' 18 wild cards have already been awarded. Submit requests to 2010noquit@goodsports.us and put "Wild Card Application" in Subject line. The deadline for submitting a request is August 24.
