MANDATORY CHECK-IN AT THE CLAREMONT CLUB
ALL PLAYERS MUST TURN IN A SIGNED USTA MEDICAL WAIVER AND A SIGNED CLAREMONT CLUB WAIVER AT THE CLAREMONT CLUB PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST MATCH, DURING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING DESIGNATED CHECK-IN TIMES. FRIDAY FEBRUARY 12,2010 BETWEEN 2PM-6PM, OR SATURDAY FEBRUARY 13,2010 BETWEEN 7:15AM-12NOON. IF YOU ARE CHECKING IN ON SATURDAY MORNING PLEASE LEAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GO THROUGH CHECK-IN AND STILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE IT TO YOUR MATCH ON TIME. There will be matches scheduled early on Saturday morning. Players who may recieve a bye or have their first match time after 12noon must still check-in at one of the designated times. Players will be given a player ID and their tournament t-shirt at this time.

DOUBLES ENTRY/FORMAT
ALL PLAYERS WISHING TO PLAY DOUBLES MUST SIGN-IN ON SITE AT THE CLAREMONT CLUB, EVEN IF YOU HAVE SIGNED UP ON LINE. SIGN-IN WILL BE OPEN DURING PLAYER CHECK-IN FRIDAY 2/12 2PM-6PM, AND SATURDAY 2/13 7:15AM-12NOON. BOTH PARTNERS MUST SIGN-UP AT THE CLAREMONT CLUB TO INSURE THAT YOU ARE PAIRED TOGETHER. ALL DOUBLES MATCHES WILL BE 8 GAME PRO-SETS WITH A MATCH TIE-BREAK AT 8-ALL

TOURNAMENT SITES
The main tournament site is The Claremont Club designated as TCC on the draws. The alternate sites are all with-in a 5 minute drive of the Claremont Club. They are as follows: The Upland Tennis club 1525 W 15th st. Upland CA, 91786 designated as UTC on the draws. The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps tennis facility 500 E 9th st. Claremont CA, 91711 designated as CMSN on the draws, and Pomona Pitzer College tennis courts 6th and College Way, Claremont, CA 91711 designated as PPC on the draws. Maps to alternate sites are available at check-in.

TOURNAMENT HOTEL
THE SHERATON ONTARIO AIRPORT 429 N. VINEYARD AVE. ONTARIO CA, 91764 is the designated tournament hotel. They are offering a special tournament rate of $92.00 per room. This includes an american breakfast buffet for those staying in the room. There is also shuttle service offered between the hotel and the Claremont Club and the hotel and Ontario airport. AIRPORTS
Ontario International Airport is definetly the closest airport, located approximately 10 miles from the Claremont Club. Orange County John Wayne airport is located approximately 40 miles from the Claremont Club and LAX is locately approximaely 50 miles from the Claremont Club.

SINGLES FORMAT
The B14's and G14's main draw singles will be 2 out of 3 regular tie break sets. The feed-in consolation draw for the B14's and G14's will be 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in leiu of a 3rd set. The B12's and G12's will be 2 regular tie-break sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in leiu of a 3rd set for the main draw and the feed-in consolation.

DOUBLES FORMAT
All doubles matches will be 8 game pro sets with a 10 point match tiebreak at 8 all.

SEEDING METHOD
The computerized List Method of seeding will be used for the tournament. Refer to Table 17 in 2009 Friend at Court for the seeding criteria.

DRAWS AND TIMES
DRAWS AND FIRST MATCH TIMES WILL BE POSTED BY FRIDAY 2/12/2010. THE FIRST 2 ROUNDS OF TEH MAIN DRAW AND THE FIRST ROUND OF CONSOLATION WILL BE SCHEDULED ON SATURDAY. EVERYONE SHOULD PLAN ON PLAYING 2 MATCHES ON SATURDAY WIN OR LOSE.

ON SITE ALTERNATES
Any player on the alternate lists may sign-in as an on site alternate. The players must sign-in at the Claremont Club at least 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match time of the event for which they are an alternate. The order of the alternate list is based on the original alternate list not in the order in which the players check in.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 14, 2010 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
