ALL DRAWS POSTED
Blessings to all!
The tournament is over and we are both happy and
sad! It was a wonderful 3 days
and we want to thank everyone who attended either as a participant or spectator.
The final match was a Mixed Open Doubles Classic,
a very fit ending to a wonderful
Tournament.
Jeff Hechemi, one of the best doubles players in
the South and a recent runners-up
at a National 30's event teamed up with Alex Sitnikova from EKU to play against
his own
Doubles Partner Chad Dyer (recent runners-up with Jeff in the National 30's
event in
California) and Lexington's own Emily Carbone, now a Arkansas Razorback (who
just
finished her very successful year as a Freshman in the SEC).
Chad and Emily won 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(6). It was
wonderful high quality tennis by all.
Once again we thank everyone for coming and wish you all a great rest of the
summer!

Dr. Cherif Hechemy
|
 |
 |
This tournament is in
honor of Dr. Cherif Hechema. Dr. Hechema was a longtime surgeon at Berea
hospital. One of his life's passions apart from family and helping others
was his love of tennis.
He was an avid tennis player and was a most beloved man to
everyone who knew him. The ultimate gentleman! He is missed terribly by
family and friends. This tournament is to honor him by promoting tennis
which he loved and to raise money for scholarships for Mountain Tennis
Circuit junior tennis players. |
