CONGRATULATIONS TO DENNIS NEVOLO, PEARSON FORD MEN'S OPEN WINNER!!
Congratulations to the number one seeded player, Dennis Nevolo of Gurnee, IL for winning the 2009 Pearson Ford Open, A Midwest Open Series Event. Dennis, who just finished a successful freshman season at the University of Illinois, did not drop a set, winning the final match 7-5, 6-3 over Javier Llaves of Wheeling, IL. Dennis has accepted the wildcard spot into the Indianapolis Tennis Championships qualifier on July 18-19 at the Indianapolis Tennis Center. Congratulations and good luck Dennis!

DOUBLES DRAW
Men's doubles draw has 18 teams entered. Please double check that we have you and your partner listed for doubles. Draw will be done later this evening. If you wish to register please call 317-278-2100 before 7:00pm. Doubles will start Friday mid afternnoon and then 2nd round will be early evening on Friday.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE PLAN
SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGE, HOWEVER, below is the planned match schedule plan for the Men's Event. This is for your planning purposes but note the schedule is subject to change. This website is useful in communicating to all players, please know we use it regularly to communicate if changes occur.
THURSDAY: 1st round singles matches 3pm start time, there will be evening play.
FRIDAY: 2nd round singles matches and round of 16 singles matches, 1st round of doubles. Tournament start time 9:30am
SATURDAY: Quarterfinals and Semifinals singles, Quarterfinal and Semifinal doubles. Tournament start time 9:30am.
SUNDAY: Singles Final 11:30am followed by Doubles Final
Singles matches regular scoring, best 2 of 3 sets with a 12 point Tiebreak at 6-6 in any set.
Doubles matches and Consolation matches will be regular scoring with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set.

PLAYERS PASTA DINNER @ PEARSON FORD
All players and guest at the Pearson Ford tournament are welcome to a buffet pasta dinner catered by Maggianos restaurant. The dinner is to be held on Friday June 26th, 2009 at the Indianapolis Tennis Center indoor facility. Thank you Jami Patterson at Wabash Valley Tennis Club for sponsorship for the Pearson Ford pasta dinner.

2009 MIDWEST OPEN SERIES
The Midwest Open Series has been patterned after the highly-successful US Open Series. The Midwest has linked three existing and well-established tennis tournaments within the Midwest Section to provide Open Men and Open Women division players an opportunity to earn prize money plus earn points from each tournament with the top eight point winner for men and women advancing to the Midwest Open Series Championships event to be played in conjunction with the ATP Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Change: Player withdrawal and alternate in place.

CITA Level 3. Midwest Level 4. PRIZE MONEY for Men's Singles and
Doubles. Singles Winner receives wildcard berth into the
Indianapolis Tennis Championships Qualifying draw, an ATP
International Series Tournament. The Indianapolis Tennis
Championships is a US OPEN SERIES EVENT. (Formerly the RCA
Championships).
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, June 21, 2009 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
