IMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION
If you are new to the tournament (not a competitor for the Labor Day Bullfrog) payment is now due. Please call the Lamar Tennis Pro Shop at 225-612-2420 to pay the $45 fee. Payments will be accepted until Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Alternates will be contacted after this time to fill unpaid spots in the main draw. NOTE: We will have late check in until 11 p.m. for those with late flights or conflicts. Also, if you have a problem with your arrival but have someone who can check in for your participant - that will be accepted.
Local players - please do not call and tell us that you have a mandatory school event (football game!!) If you are unable to make the mandatory check-in, please make arrangements to have someone else check you in.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES / PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP
All players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern office for proof of US citizenship. Green cards will be accepted, but passports will not. A file of those with proof on file is posted above. more info

ATTENTION BG12's & G14's
Bocage Racquet Club requires 90% white tennis attire. This includes hats & shoes. Boys may not wear sleeveless shirts. Warmups can be color but if you take it off, the 90% applies. Thank you!

It is standard procedure to not post draws before this time. Changes are made in the draw up until Friday afternoon. Posting the draw before Friday would provide inaccurate information to our players this would be inconvenient for everyone.

SELECTION PROCESS
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest STANDINGS LIST. 56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the REPORT SECTION. DO NOT REFER TO THE ALTERNATES ON THE FAR LEFT SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE (That list is not updated).

ORDERED ALTERNATES REPORT:
This is the order alternates will replace any withdrawals. (This report is in the 'Tournament Report' section on the tournament home page.)
INTENT TO PLAY:
Please withdraw from the tournament if you know that you will not be able to travel at late notice. This courtesy will give others a chance at playing. We assume that all players on the Alternates by Event Report are able to play.

MEDICAL RELEASE WAIVER

GUIDELINE FOR ENTERING TWO EVENTS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

SURFACES
BG 12's & G14's will be played on clay. All other divisions will be played on hard courts.

FORMAT & SCORING
Draws will be 64 players with a Full Feed In through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Main Draw will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Feed-in will be the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tie break in lieu of third set. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change. The Consolation draws will play three matches on Sunday and three on Monday.

NEW RULE FOR MATCH CHECK IN: > Regulation IV.A.2 now states "The referee may penalize a player who is on site for lateness if a court is available and the player has failed to check in at the tournament desk by the scheduled match time." > THIS MEANS, IF THERE IS 1 OPEN COURT AT 10:00 AND THERE ARE 3 MATCHES TO PUT ON THE REFEREE WILL START THE CLOCK FOR LATENESS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT CHECKED IN FOR 10:00 - EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH COURTS FOR ALL 3 MATCHES.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE RESCHEDULED AUGUST 30 BULLFROG

FEES
All players who want to participate in the tournament must register again for the tournament through this site. Registration for the date, August 30-September 1, 2008, will not be considered for the November 1-3, 2008. Only the registration fee of $3.00 will be charged. Players who are new to the tournament and who are accepted in the tournament will need to contact the tournament for full payment of the $45.00 entry fee. Please notify both of the following email addresses: jwahlborg@ymcabatonrouge.org and ytotaltennis@cox.net. Players who were initially charged for the tournament but elect not to participate in the November tournament will receive a refund of the $45.00 entry fee.

SELECTIONS
Players who were in the tournament prior to the postponement date of August 29, 2009 will be the first selected for the new date of November 1-3, 2008. Players who withdrew prior to August 28 will be considered late entries if they apply again. Late entries will go to the bottom of the August 28th Alternates list. Players who have aged out of the Division they were originally sselected will go to the top of the August 29th Alternates list. Any new entries will be considered late entries and will be placed at the bottom of the Alternates list in Standing order as of October 24, 2008.

ALTERNATE LISTS
The alternates list will be in this order: 1. Players selected for the August Tournament but aged up since. 2. Players on the Alternates list as of August 28, 2008. 3. Late entries prior to August 28, 2008. 4. Players who are new registrations and players who withdrew form the August tournament. *Players on the original alternate list who have since aged up shall be included in their current age group alternate list where they fall as of October 24, 2008.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Friday, October 24, 2008 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
