We are looking forward to seeing you at the Austin Tennis Academy’s National Little Mo October 17-20, 2008! The Austin Tennis Academy is a training program for junior tennis players who aspire to achieve excellence through tennis–it is a group of coaches, players and parents dedicated to pursuing excellence in tennis and life. The mission of the Austin Tennis Academy is to create a local junior tennis community, dedicated to developing students to their fullest potential in tennis, academics and character. One of our primary objectives is to help students use tennis to help them make the perfect college choice. The flagship service of the Austin Tennis Academy is the Academy Program. The Academy Program is tennis training and fitness training for top level players and those that aspire to be top level players. Top level in this case means Superchamp level in the USTA Texas Section and nationally ranked players in the United States and for those with the talent and drive, success at the National and International level. Players in the Academy program look at their lives through the prism of being a tennis athlete. They train on and off the court, they travel to meet the competition, they are focused on lofty goals in tennis performance. The Austin Tennis Academy ATA is located in southwest Austin inside the Spanish Oaks community. Our physical address is 6800 Spanish Oaks Club Blvd., Austin, Texas 78738. ATA is located .2 miles west from the intersection of Hwy 620 and Hwy 71W. Look for the McCoy's Building Supply sign on your right and get in the left hand lane, make a left at the windmill into Spanish Oaks, go to the second round about and we are on your left. St. Stephens will be designated as SS on the first match time report as well as the draws. All B & G 8's and 9's will play at SS on Saturday. B & G 10's and 11's will be at ATA on Saturday. All matches will be at ATA on Sunday and Monday if we remain on schedule (no weather delays). Please click on the following link for a map to St. Stephens. more info

MANDATORY Player Check-In Friday, October 17th from 3-5 p.m. at the Austin Tennis Academy. [If there are extenuating circumstances, forcing you to miss check-in, you must call ATA at 512.276.2271, so that we can notify tournament officials. Tournament warm-up hit with ATA Academy players will be on Friday from 3:30-5 p.m. MANDATORY OPENING CEREMONY, INCLUDING GROUP PHOTO STARTING AT 5 p.m. UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 6:30. Players must wear all white to the opening ceremonies, small logos acceptable, no hats. Bring gift for your first round opponent to your first match. Party at ATA from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Food, drinks, music and FUN! BRING YOUR SWIM SUIT!!! Free for all players. $10/person for non-players.

Private Lessons and Hitting Sessions Available!!! We have private lessons available with our Academy Coaches on Thursday, Oct. 16th and Friday, Oct. 17th from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. Also available from 10:00 - 2:00 are one-hour hitting sessions with our top-level Academy players. Private lesson rates start at $65 an hour. One-hour hitting sessions with ATA Academy Players are $30/hr. or for two players $35/hr. All lessons are given at the ATA only. We will have a very high demand for these spots and space is limited. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Practice courts will be available at a charge of $10 per hour on Thursday from 12:00 - 2:00 and 7:30 - 9:00. They are also available on Friday for $10/hour from 12:00 - 3:00. Due to our current programs, these are the only available practice times on Thursday and Friday. Call the pro shop at 512-276-2271 to reserve your court (with your credit card). You will be asked to share a court with other Little Mo players if courts are full. Saturday-Monday practice courts will be available on a first come first serve basis from 7-8 a.m. Once matches start there will be no courts for warm-up. Lake Travis High School located on Hwy 620, 5 minutes from the ATA, also has courts. These are public courts and cannot be reserved. Other practice courts may be available at Barton Creek Resort for a fee. You can reach Barton Creek to reserve courts at 512-329-4000.

We will do everything we can to complete the National Little Mo even if we have inclement weather. The Austin weather can change very quickly and we have 3 days to complete the event. If necessary, we will go to alternate scoring to speed up the matches and in case of persistent rain, we do have access to a limited number of indoor courts. This website will be updated with any weather related delays or you may call ATA at 512-276-2271 during the tournament for weather related updates.

Airport The Austin Bergstrom Int'l Airport is approx 45-60 min. from the Austin Tennis Academy. The ATA is in southwest Austin. Go west on Hwy 71W for approximately 22 miles, Hwy 71W is called US 290W for a few miles, follow signs to Hwy 71W. When you get to the light at Hwy 620, get into left lane, turn left into Spanish Oaks across from McCoys.
