On-site alternates may be admitted into the singles main draw to replace withdrawing players until the completion of the first round of play.
This option does not apply to players receiving withdrawals or retirements as these are considered matches won.
On-site alternates may not play in the FIC Championship unless they have played in the Singles main draw.
The order of the alternates is based on the original alternate list published by the tournament,
not a more recent nsl ,and not in the order in which players check in.
