FRIDAY JULY 3 CHECK-IN AND PLAYER MEETING
The tournament desk will be staffed on Friday, July 3 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. for players who would like to check-in on Friday to receive their player packet of information and tournament t-shirt. At 7:00 p.m. the tournament desk will close for the evening and a brief PLAYER MEETING will begin. Although this player meeting is not mandatory, players are strongly encouraged to attend as its purpose is to help familiarize players, parents and coaches with the tournament site and format, and to clarify specific tournament details so that your experience here is a positive one. Players who do not attend the meeting will be solely responsible for reading and understanding all information printed in the tournament information booklet that they will receive when they check-in. All players who do not check-in on Friday must check-in at least one hour prior to their first match on Saturday. The tournament desk will re-open at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. IMPORTANT NOTE – Doubles play will start on Saturday afternoon after singles play is completed (please see below for the Tentative Schedule of Play for each day). It would be very helpful to have all doubles entrants and teams confirmed on Friday night by the end of the player meeting. PLEASE SEE THE DOUBLES INFORMATION POSTED ON THIS SITE. IF YOUR NAME IS NOT ON THE DOUBLES PLAYERS LIST AND YOU WANT TO PLAY, CONTACT US TODAY!
|
LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE PLAYING DOUBLES!
WE WANT YOU!!! DON'T MISS THE DOUBLES EVENT! All players who are selected into the tournament are eligible to play doubles, regardless of whether or not you signed up online. ALL PLAYERS WHO WANT TO PLAY DOUBLES NEED TO E-MAIL THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR TO CONFIRM ENTRY, even if you DID sign-up online! If you already have a partner, include their name in your e-mail. We will enter your team into the doubles event. If you need help finding a partner, we will do our best to assist you. Send us an e-mail, including phone numbers if you would like, and we will forward your request on to other players seeking doubles partners. ***For privacy reasons we do not give out contact information that we have on file unless we have permission from the player. We will assist players with the initial contact, and you can take it from there. If you are able to find a partner, let us know so that we can pair your team up for the doubles event. If you are in the singles event and do not want to play doubles, please e-mail us to let us know so that we might make that spot available to another player. We will start doubles play on Saturday (as soon as the singles matches are completed) and will be playing two rounds on that day, so it would be very helpful if we had all the teams confirmed by the end of the player meeting on Friday, July 3. Please send your e-mail confirmation to Wendy Franz at franz@midlandtennis.com. The doubles entrants lists will be updated as teams are confirmed. Continue to check the updated Doubles Players lists as teams are added (links are at the top of this page under "Tournament Reports").
