THE SELECTION PROCESS AFTER DEADLINE
Following the close of the June 4th deadline, the USTA will make the initial selections for the National Open 12s at all of the National Opens. The selection process is expected to be concluded by Monday, June 8th, or sooner when the USTA will contact the tournament directors and allow all tournaments to begin contacting the Alternates List for entrance into the events.

IF YOU ARE AN ALTERNATE SELECTED
If you're an alternate selected and contacted to play in the National Open 12s in Omaha and not selected by the USTA -- you will need to send a check to cover your entrance fee. Players on the Alternates List not originally selected for entrance into the tournament were not charged on their credit cards by the USTA. Selected alternates need to send a $75 check payable to The Omaha Tennis Association, 1221 S 92 Circle,
Omaha, Ne 68124.

General Information
If your name is listed on the competitors list, you have been accepted into the draw. If the draws are not full, most of those players who receive an alternate message from tennislink will be invited to play in our tournament. You will be contacted to play if you are not accepted initially. Remember,at the time of the deadline, only if there are 64 players in each draw will players be turned away. For questions about entry please contact Larry Newton at larrynewton@cox.net. SCHEDULE: Friday:5:00-6:30pm, player check-in, 6:30 pm player meeting. If you need a doubles partner, Doubles partners may be matched at check in. Deadline for finding a doubles partner will be Saturday morning, first day of tournament. Singles play begins 8:00am Saturday On Sunday: player and family no/charge cookout at Koch Family Tennis Center(24 hardcourt facility)

Drill session and additional no-points matches
A drill session will be provided for a limited number of players Friday July 3, Call 402-4930420 for additional information. No draw times will be given out before the Player Required Meeting. Last year a compass draw format was used to give losing players additional matches in singles. Each player had at least 4 singles A similar format may or may not be used this year, depending upon the size of the draw. Additional matches do not add any additional points to tournament value.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
