First Round matches scheduled to begin at 10:00 am will have a delayed start of 11:00 am.

Girls 16s Main Draw R64 and R32 will be played on Saturday at Snee Farm, then return to FCTC for the remaining Main Draw matches.

Take time between your children's matches to meet representatives from Chrysler who will be available at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Saturday, February 23rd from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm conducting complimentary test drives. Receive a special gift for taking a test drive in one of Chrysler's new vehicles. After the test drive, remember to register for a chance to win a Dunlop racquet to be given away hourly. Everyone who registers and test drives a Chrysler will have the chance to win one grand prize of a PLAYMATE ball machine. Chrysler vehicles will also be on display at Family Circle during the Saturday evening dinner for the players, their families, and coaches.

DUNLOP representatives will be at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Saturday, February 23rd to host a special Dunlop demo racquet clinic and "Hit and Get" activity on the hard courts between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

The Family Circle Cup has long been recognized as a professional event where young stars make their mark and what better opportunity for a young girl than to experience the thrill of playing in one of the top pro events on the women's tour. That is exactly what will happen to the winner of the Girls' 18s Singles when she receives a wild card into the 2008 Family Circle Cup qualifying draw held Saturday, April 12th and Sunday, April 13th. She will get her chance to make her own mark on a tournament where legends abound and new ones can suddenly be born.

All players must initially check in at the Family Circle Tennis Center at least one hour PRIOR to their first scheduled match. Early check-in will be available on Friday, February 22nd from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm OR for Saturday First Matches, check in on Saturday, February 23rd from 8:30 am until 10:00 am. After initial check-in, all players should report directly to designated sites for scheduled matches. MANDATORY USTA and FAMILY CIRCLE TENNIS CENTER RELEASE forms must be signed by each player's parent/guardian prior to first match.

During the tournament, wireless internet access will be available for players and their families while in the Family Circle Tennis Center Clubhouse.

Boys and Girls 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s will each have a draw size of 64 players for Singles. Boys and Girls 10s will each have a draw size of 32 players for Singles. All age divisions will play the best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set through the Quarterfinals. All Singles Semifinals and Finals for Boys and Girls 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s will be the best 2 out of 3 sets. The Boys and Girls 10s Semifinals and Finals will be the best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set.

Selection and Seeding will be determined based on current ITF, National, Regional, and State rankings. A ranked Alternates List will be posted and updated as needed. This is a South Carolina Level 2 and Southern Level 4 tournament.

Boys and Girls 16s and 18s will be played on clay courts, primarily at the Family Circle Tennis Center (FCTC) and as needed at the Daniel Island Club Tennis Pavilion (DIC) and Snee Farm (SNEE). Boys 14s will be played on hard courts at Whipple (WHIP) and as needed at SNEE. Girls 14s will be played at Snee Farm (SNEE). Boys and Girls 12s will be played at The College of Charleston Tennis Center (CC) near Patriot's Point. Boys and Girls 10s will be played on hard courts at FCTC and as needed at DIC. All sites are subject to change based on draw size. The Family Circle Tennis Center is located at 161 Seven Farms Drive on Daniel Island. The Daniel Island Club Tennis Pavilion is located at 715 Island Park Drive on Daniel Island. Whipple is located at the Kerr Tennis Center at 889 Whipple Road in Mt. Pleasant. Snee Farm Country Club is located at 1200 Club Drive in Mt. Pleasant. The College of Charleston Tennis Center is located on Patriots Point Boulevard in Mt. Pleasant. Directions to all sites will be available at check-in registration.

In the event of inclement weather, alternate scoring (no-ad scoring and/or third set tiebreakers) will be implemented followed by canceling consolation rounds. Players will be informed of any changes primarily by the referee at their assigned site and secondarily by website updates.

Siblings and players from the same city playing in the same divisions should email their names / relationships to smashjrcup@bellsouth.net to avoid possibly playing each other in the first round.

Withdrawals prior to the entry deadline should be made by players using tennislink online. Anyone who withdraws after the close of registration should email smashjrcup@bellsouth.net stating name, division, and reason for withdrawal. Withdrawals after February 18th will not receive a refund.

Due to Alternate notification, time changes, and draw changes, it is imperative for you to add contact information (email and phone) during the online registration process when asked. If you did not add your contact information during registration, please email this information to smashjrcup@bellsouth.net prior to tournament deadline.
