COLLEGE COACHES--
We have a few of the Player Profile Books still available. These are bios of all the competitors with their interests, school choices, as well as their contact information. If you are interested please contact Steve at sbickham@ytsd.org and I will send you one out. Cost is $35 plus shipping.

CHECK-IN
There is a mandatory player's check in on Saturday, August 2nd from 12:30-5:00 pm. YOU MUST CHECK IN AT THIS MEETING OR MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN YOUR SPOT BEING REPLACED IN THE DRAW.

OPENING CEREMONIES & BBQ:
The opening ceremony on Saturday evening begins at 5 pm with a US Military Band and Color Guard. Following the ceremony will be the player's meeting and Barbeque Dinner. BBQ is free for players, $10 for guests.

WARM-UP CLINIC & HITTING LESSONS
We will be offering a warm-up clinic for any of the participants of the National Tournament. Clinics will be offered daily, Monday thr Friday, July 28-August 1, from 2-4:30 and Saturday, August 2nd from 10-12:30. Cost for the clinic is $50 per day. We also have hitters available at $50 per hour. Contact tournament director Steve Bickham for details or to sign up.

TOURNAMENT HOTEL INFORMATION
FOR ALL HOTELS:
The earliest arrival date is 7/31/08 (Thu), Departure Date is 8/10/08 (Sun)
Credit Card required when booking please see hotel websites for more information about services, amenities, etc…There is limited supply of rooms at each hotel as this is peak season in San Diego. There will not likely be any last minute rooms available. Most hotels require only 24, 48, or 72 hours notice of cancellation...so book early and cancel if you need to!!!! All hotels offered are one to five (1-5) miles from the Barnes Tennis Center.

MEDICAL RELEASE & COLLEGE PROFILE FORM
In order to compete in the Girls 16 Nationals we must have the Medical Release form in hand and signed by a parent or guardian by Saturday, August 2nd at 5 pm. If you are going to be late checking in make sure you have this form as well as the college profile form faxed or emailed to the Tournament Director before this time. Failure to do so could result in you losing your place in the draw.

FACILITY: All matches will be held at the Barnes Tennis Center,
4490 W. Point Loma Blvd., San Diego, CA 92107 The facility has 21
lighted hard courts, 4 clay cts, snack shop, player shower/lounge,
pro shop and stringing on site. DIRECTIONS: From Airport turn right
on Harbor Drive to Nimitz Blvd. Continue two miles on Nimitz and
turn right on West Point Loma Blvd. Take first left at Mariner's
Cove Apartments sign and then another left into our facility. We
are 10 minutes from the airport. If driving in from the North on I5
South exit on Sea World Drive to the West. Follow Sea World drive
for approx. 2 miles, veer left onto Nimitz Drive then first left on

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.
|
Players are selected from a variety of National Lists and generally require Section endorsement.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, July 10, 2008 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
