PRACTICE COURTS
For practice courts BEFORE SUNDAY, JULY 15th, call the match sites (Delray Swim & Tennis Club, Broken Sound CC, Boca West CC) as well as the practice sites listed below. BEGINNING SUNDAY, JULY 15th: Players cannot reserve practice courts at the match sites, courts are 1st come, 1st serve. 10+ practice courts will be available 45 minutes before the first match at the match sites, as well as 1-2 courts throughout the day. All courts are 1st come, 1st serve with two persons per court - if courts are full, four persons per court. Players may reserve practice courts at Swim & Racquet Center, Boca Pointe Country Club, Boynton Beach Tennis Center and Hunters Run (numbers listed below)....An overview of the practice courts & times will be given out at the Player Registration.

MATCH SITES-ALL Players should go check-in at the site that they compete at
Weather pending, 95% of the Boys 18’s division will play matches at only one site and the Boys’ 16’s division will use only two match sites (only four miles from each other) each day. The Boys 18's site is approx. 10 minutes from the Boys' 16's sites. BOTH the 18's and 16's divisions will move to the Delray Beach Tennis Center from days six through eight, with highlights of both the 18's and 16's singles divisions being televised nationally.

HEAT RULE
The Heat Rule will be in effect during this entire tournament to include Main Draw, Feed-In Championships, and Doubles. Simply stated—That means the B-16's AND B-18's MUST take a 10 minute rest if they split sets. The USTA Sports Science Committee declared that there will be no practice during that 10 minute rest period. Players are allowed to leave the court and may receive coaching.

11:30am - 2pm. Held at the Embassy Suites, Boca Raton. Eligible players** and all parents/coaches of ALL of the participants will have the availability to meet and exchange information with the attending college coaches. Access into the Expo is free, and the list of attendees will be announced shortly. **Please comply with NCAA rules that state: players may attend if they have not yet signed a letter of intent with another college and have completed their junior year of high school.

SEMINAR by Dede Allen - Saturday, July 14
2 - 3pm. “The 5 “R’s” Reading, ‘Riting, Recruiting, Rules and Regulations.” Free Seminar to all players & parents. Dede Allen is passionate about helping educate junior tennis players and their families about the “ins and outs” of college recruiting. Combining undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education, along with her experience as a teacher, then successful top 25 NCAA DI collegiate coach, as well as her extensive background with junior tennis – Allen is ultimately qualified to help families understand and find their way through the recruiting process.... She served the USTA for over 15 years as the Association’s Administrator of USA Tennis Junior Competition and Collegiate Tennis and was its liaison to the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA. Prior to joining the USTA she had been the Women’s Tennis Coach at Wake Forest University for 7 years, where she was named ACC Coach of the Year in 1987. She is the author of the USTA Guide for Prospective College Tennis Players (1998) and the Collegiate Guide for High School Tennis Players.

ALTERNATES
REPLACING PLAYER before draw is made: The tournament committee shall replace a player who was accepted as part of a Section's quota with the next player on the Section's endorsement list. The tournament committee shall replace a player who was NOT accepted as part of a Section's quota with the next highest remaining alternate on the National Standings List (as of deadline date). REPLACING PLAYER After Draw is Made, but Before the Completion of the 1st Round: The tournament committee shall replace a player after the draw is made, but before the completion of the 1st round with the next highest remaining alternate on the National Standings List (as of deadline date). All singles alternates (including doubles endorsed players) may call the tournament office for updates, as well as please sign in at the Players' Registration held on Sat., July 14th.

Pre-tournament camp offered at Delray Beach Tennis Center (561-243-7360), for $35pp on Sat., July 14 from 10 - 11:30am - limited availability. For hitting lessons, call Delray Beach Tennis Center, Broken Sound Country Club (561-241-6880) or Swim & Racquet Center, Boca Raton (561-395-0128). For practice courts at the 18s & 16s sites ON OR BEFORE Sat., July 14, call any of the sites and they will reserve a court for you (2-4 per court pending availability). Beginning Sun., July 15, all courts are 1st come, 1st serve. A practice court spreadsheet will be given out at the Player Registration - THERE ARE OVER 35 PRACTICE COURTS IN THE AREA.

The USTA Boys' 18 & 16 Clay Court Nationals is one of the premier amateur tennis events in the United States, and we welcome you and your family to Delray Beach, Florida. This event is organized by the sister company of the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, a $437,000 Men's ATP Tour Event, and we will be awarding the winner of the Boys' 18's singles division a MAIN DRAW WILDCARD into the ATP Event, held February 11 - 17, 2008!

DOUBLES - PLAYERS MUST RE-REGISTER AT REGISTRATION (Sat., July 14)
The DOUBLES event is "single elimination" (all players MUST re-register at the Player’s Registration) with matches beginning on Sunday, July 15 (rounds 1 and 2). If you know your doubles team, please e-mail the team to ibaron@yellowtennisball.com (Important: make sure we reply back to you to confirm receipt of the e-mail). All singles players may play doubles. If you do not have a partner, please let us know at Registration and we will do our best to pair you with another person. PLAYERS MAY ONLY PLAY DOUBLES, IN THE SAME DIVISION AS THEY ARE PLAYING SINGLES.

Players are selected from a designated Section or District ranking list.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 21, 2007 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
