NEW DRAW!!
We will be making a new singles draw Thursday afternoon. There were some changes in the players that required a new draw to be done. Singles matches will still begin at 8:30 Saturday morning. Thank you.

Medical Release
Please bring your filled out and signed medical release with you to the tournament. You MUST have this presented before you will be allowed to play. If you do not have one, we will have them at the tournament, but it must be a parent (not a friend or coach) that signs it. I can e-mail or fax one to if you need it. Thanks!
|
Tournament Check-In
The tournament desk will be open on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00pm. You are not required to check in at this time. Laurie will also be available throughout the day Friday (when she is not teaching) for check-in and to pick up player packet. You may choose to check-in 30 minutes before your match if you would like. Remember - the earlier you check-in, the better chance of getting the shirt you want!
|
Playing Sites
The majority of matches will take place at the Park City Racquet Club. Check-in for all matches will be here. We will be using the Park City Public Park, located 1 mile away for some matches the 1st two days. Girls will check-in at the Racquet Club and will be told where to play their matches. Girls will be given time to get to City Park if they will be playing there.

Player Party & Gift Exchange
There will be a player party for Girls and their families/coaches on Sunday night at 6:00pm. Food and soft drinks will be provided. We would like to have a gift exchange among the girls that night. Please bring a gift of approximately $10. Something from your home state would be great, but it does not need to be that. The girls will draw numbers and get to choose a gift out of the piles. Hope you will participate!

Practice Courts Thursday & Friday
The Racquet Club will have 2 outdoor courts set aside all day on Thursday and Friday before the tournament for girls to walk-on and practice at no charge. There are also other public courts nearby to practice on at no charge. If you would like to reserve a court to guarantee a time for yourself, the cost will be $9/hr. These courts will not use up the walk-on courts and will be on a "as available" basis. The girls can begin reserving these courts on May 2. We will also have pros on staff who can hit with the players. Hitting lessons are $45/hr. Regular instructional lessons are $60/hr. Please contact Laurie to set up a time to hit with a pro.
|
Practice Courts on Saturday & Sunday
Saturday and Sunday will be the busiest days of the tournament. We will have 2 or more practice courts set aside indoors at the club for walkon. There will also be maps available to several different public courts nearby where the girls will have priority. In order to keep the practice courts available for the most girls, we will NOT be allowing girls to book courts for warmups with pros on Saturday and Sunday - it will be walkon only. There will be a pro available to hit with the girls if they do not have anyone else to hit with. If you walk on and hit with the pro it is $20/half hour.
|
Indoor Courts
The Park City Racquet Club has 7 outdoor courts (where all matches will occur) and 4 indoor courts. If you book a court specifically indoors (early morning or late evening after it is too dark to play outside), you will need to pay $20/hour for the courts. If you wanted an outdoor court to warmup on, but only indoor courts were available, you will only be charged the outdoor rate of $9/hr.
|
Draw Posting
The singles draw will post end of day Friday or first thing Saturday morning.
|
Doubles
I will be accepting doubles teams up until 12:00 on Saturday the 17th. At that point, we will work on the doubles draw and play may begin Saturday, but probably not until Sunday. Doubles is an 8 game pro-set (Sorry - wish I was allowed to let you play more!)
|
Players accepted:
I now have my 64 singles players. If you were on the alternate list and I have NOT contacted you, please feel free to call me and I will let you know where you ended up, in case someone drops out before the tournament. The singles draw will be posted on Friday, May 9 at end of day. Again, the doubles draw will not be done until the first day of tournament to allow the girls to partner up.

High Altitude Balls
Park City is located at 7000 feet altitude. We do use Wilson's special high altitude balls for play. Don't bother bringing balls from your low altitude home - they will bounce over your head here! We will have plenty of hoppers of used balls for the girls to practice with.

Directions to Club
From the Salt Lake Airport, follow directions toward I-80 EAST. Sometimes it wil say toward "Cheyenne". You will merge with I-15 for a few miles, but just keep following the I-80 East signs. You will cut across Salt Lake and begin climbing a canyon (Parley's Canyon) for about 20 minutes. After you pass the Jeremy Ranch exit, you will want the next exit - Kimball Junction/Park City. At end of exit ramp, turn right and you are now on Hiway 224 - the main road into town. Follow this for approximately 5 miles. You will see a large white barn on your RIGHT. After the barn, you will want the 2nd stop light. Turn left here onto Holiday Ranch Loop Drive. (The Peaks Hotel is on this corner). Follow Holiday Ranch Loop for approximately 1/4 mile to a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign onto Little Kate Road. The club is up a few hundred yards on your left. Welcome! Front desk phone number is 435-615-5401.
