player meeting
we will have two player meetings, both will be on saturday morning feb. 16th. all players playing at 9am will meet in the newman tennis center club house at 8:15 am. all players playing at 10, 10:30, or 11 will meet in the newman tennis center club house at 9:15. we will cover all items listed in the hand outs, plus other house keeping items that are necessary for you to have an enjoyable tournament. you will be given directions and a map to navigate our city.

doubles update
The doubles formate has been changed we have added a Modified feed-in consolation to doubles. All teams that loose in the first two rounds will go into the consolation draw. All matches will play an 8 game proset.
If you sign up for doubles as an individual we will attemp to pair you up with another individual. If you sign up you are expected to play if you have a partner.
all the players have been removed from the doubles list, even if you signed up for doubles online, you are required to sign up again when you get here. the sign up deadline for doubles will be 12 noon on saturday feb. 16. we will play doubles on saturday jan. 16th. after singles. formate will use an 8 game pro set with a match tiebreak at 8 all.

medical release
a medical release is now required prior to playing any matches. parent or guardian must sign. please click on more info to download this form and bring it with you to registration. you can find the form at www.gatennis.com under junior competitive tennis.

dress code
the tournament committee has set a dress code in this tournament the rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. these rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
proper tennis attire should be worn. for females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. for males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. shirts must be worn at all times. please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. this delay may result in penalties (pps) being assessed .

match times and draws published/withdraw
Players first match times are now published the draw will not be published until Thursday Feb. 14th. Withdraws after Saturday Feb. 9th will not receive a refund.

Weather related issues
In the event of rain we may change to some type of alternate scoring. The final decision will come from the USTA national junior competition department.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 24, 2008 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
