Players MUST obtain their first match times by checking draws online - please do not call El Dorado Park Tennis Center for your match time. We cannot accomodate any special scheduling requests or time changes. >>>>ALL PLAYERS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO PLAY AT THEIR SCHEDULED TIME<<<<. There will be two rounds of singles played on Saturday, the first day of the tournament. Doubles play will begin on Sunday. PLEASE CHECK WHICH SITE YOU WILL PLAY YOUR FIRST AND SECOND ROUND MATCH.....BJK OR ELDO. BJK Tennis Center is only 3-miles from El Dorado Park.

The Doubles draw will consist of 32 teams max. ALL PLAYERS wanting to play Doubles must sign-up before the end of the first day of the tournament, JUNE 28, whether or not you registered for doubles online. We will have a Doubles Sign-up sheet available at the Tournament Desk. If you need a partner at sign up, we will try to help match you up with another player who needs a partner. ALL DOUBLES MATCHES ARE AN 8 GAME PRO SET WITH A MATCH TIE-BREAKER AT 8-8. It is not the responsibility of the Tournament Director to match a player with a partner, but we will do our best to help.

ALTERNATE SITE for DAY 1
Due to time constraints and court availability at EL Dorado Park, we will be using BILLIE JEAN KING TENNIS CENTER on the first day only, for a few first and second round matches. Billie Jean King Tennis Center is indicated as (BJK) on the draws & El Dorado Park Tennis Center is (ELDOR) on the draws. MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS:
The USTA requires that all players have a Medical Release Form, SIGNED BY A PARENT or GUARDIAN on file BEFORE you can play a match. Forms will be available at the Tournament Desk when you check-in on Saturday. PLEASE BE SURE TO FILL ONE OUT. Click here to download and print out a Release form:

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries will be accepted and will be listed at the bottom of the alternate list in the order received. No exceptions. All Late Entry requests must be submitted in writing by email to Cathy Jacobson at first.serve@verizon.net.

ALTERNATES:
Alternates will be sorted using the original published National Standing List (NSL) used to accept players into the draw. The list is ordered as follows (1) Vacancies are filled by players from the USTA/NSL 14 & under, (2) Remaining vacancies are filled by registered players from the USTA/NSL 12 & under, (3) players registered with no national ranking, and then LATE entrants will be placed at the bottom of the list and ordered by date of their late entry. The alternate list will be published online as soon as possible and no later than 5 days after the entry deadline. Players will be contacted in order as spots in the main draw become available. We will require credit card information for payment of entry fee's at the time of acceptance into the draw.

ON-SITE ALTERNATES:
Any player who is listed on the most recent Alternate List can show up as an on-site alternate for this National Open. You should arrive at EL DORADO PARK TENNIS CENTER 1/2 hour before the first round matches for your event. Players are selected in order from the most recent Alternate List. Check the draws for first round match times. The draws should be posted 1-2 days before the tournament starts. Be sure to check-in with the Tournament Director and/or the Tournament Referee, Jan Ryan.

REFUNDS:
Only players who withdraw seven days prior to the tournament (Sunday, June 22, 2008 @ 8:00am) may receive refunds. No exceptions. No refunds will be made, FOR ANY REASON, for withdrawals received after June 22

AIRPORT INFO:
The Long Beach Airport (LGB) is 3.61 miles from the El Dorado Park Tennis Center. The Los Angeles Airport (LAX) is 24.2 miles through heavy traffic & John Wayne Airport (SNA) is 19.5 miles. If you can get a flight into Long Beach Airport, or John Wayne Airport would be a whole lot easier than LAX.

RACQUET STRINGING:
There will always be at least one stringer available on site, at all times, during the duration of the tournament. String is available to purchase, if needed. We stock most of the major brands, WILSON, LUXILON BIG BANGER, GAMMA, PRINCE, BABALOT.

Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 5, 2008 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
