REVISED SCHEDULE
Due to today's rain, the revised schedule for Friday has been posted.

ALL CONSOLATION EVENTS
Due to the inclement weather, the Referee has changed the consolation format to best of three tie-break sets with a "Deciding Match Tie-Break" (First to 10) in lieu of a third set.

OPTIONAL WEDNESDAY CHECK-IN AT TOPSPIN TENNIS SHOP
Optional check-in will be held Wednesday, Nov. 26. You will receive your player gift, obtain map, and see singles and doubles draw information. Check-in will be from 3-6 PM at Topspin Tennis Shop: 4250 Barranca Pkwy, Unit D, Irvine, CA, 92604. Phone: (949) 653-6878. Stringing and supplies will be available throughout the tournament at the shop location (close to the sites).

HERITAGE PARK (HP)
14301 Yale Avenue, Irvine, CA (located at the corner of Walnut & Yale), (949) 724-6826. Please click on the link for specific directions to Heritage Park from both the 5 and 405 Freeways. The courts are in the back of the park, you can access the driveway from Yale Avenue. Once in the driveway, turn to the right and wind around towards the back of the park.

COLONEL BILL BARBER REGIONAL PARK (CBB)
Colonel Bill Barber Regional Park, 4 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine. From Los Angeles, take the 405 Freeway south and exit Jamboree. Turn left off the exit, proceed down Jamboree until you reach Alton Parkway, turn right on Alton. Go down Alton Parkway until you reach Harvard. The park is located at the corner of Harvard and Civic Center Plaza. From San Diego, take the 405 North and exit Jamboree, turn right off the exit onto Jamboree. Follow the above directions. You may also take the Jamboree exit off the 5 Freeway, turn west off the exit and follow the above directions, turning left on Alton.

LOWER PETERS CANYON REGIONAL PARK (LPCP)
Lower Peters Canyon Regional Park, 3901 Farwell, Irvine. Please click on the above link to access directions to Lower Peters Canyon Regional Park. You may also alternatively exit the 405 Freeway South off of Culver and proceed down Culver past the 5 Freeway, however it is much closer to exit the 5 Freeway.

DOUBLES SIGN-IN (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE)
Due to the personnel change for the tournament (new Referee), the doubles sign-in protocol has been changed. Doubles entries will now close at 10:00 a.m. on the first day of singles play (Thanksgiving Day Thursday November 27th). DOUBLES WILL BEGIN ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 28TH. You must both be playing in the same age division for singles and doubles. Players on the alternate list may enter the doubles and can be accepted into the doubles provided the draw is not full (maximum 32 teams per division).

MATCH FORMATS
As adopted by the USTA Youth Competition & Training Committee, all singles matches for these divisions of National Opens will consist of best of three (3) tie-break sets. All doubles matches will be an 8 game pro-set with a Deciding Match Tie-Break (first to 10 points) at 8 games all. Match formats are subject to change by the Referee with approval from the USTA for a cogent reason, such as inclement weather.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 30, 2008 12 Noon Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
