FINAL ROUNDS
Final round draws are now posted, along with match times through Sunday. Monday's match times will be posted to this site by Friday. There will be no matches on Monday starting before 11:00 a.m. All matches will be at Los Caballeros. The final rounds will also conduct a modified feed-in championship, along with a quarterfinal match losers playoff for 5th place. The modified feed-in championship and quarterfinal playoff are required to be played to completion if the player wishes to have the Junior Sectionals count for both ranking and endorsement.

LOS CABALLEROS SPORTS VILLAGE (LC)
17272 Newhope Street, Fountain Valley, CA. (714) 545-5072. To reach Los Cab from the 405 Freeway going South, exit Warner Avenue East. Proceed on Warner until you reach Newhope Street. Turn right onto Newhope. When you reach the stoplight where the post office is, turn left into the Village. The club is located in the back of the complex. From the 405 North, exit Euclid/Newhope Street. Go straight through the exit, you are now on Newhope. Once you pass Segerstrom/Slater, the Los Cab entrance is on your right, immediately adjacent to the post office is. The club is located in the back of the complex.

COSTA MESA TENNIS CENTER (CM)
880 Junipero Drive, Costa Mesa, CA. (714) 557-0211. To reach Costa Mesa Tennis Center from the 405 Freeway, exit Fairview Drive. Turn west on Fairview Drive towards Orange Coast College. Once past Orange Coast College, turn left on Arlington. The entrance to the courts is on your left side, turn left on Junipero to access the parking lot.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY TENNIS CENTER (FV)
16400 Brookhurst Street, Fountain Valley. (714) 545-5072. To reach Fountain Valley Tennis Center from the 405 Freeway, exit Brookhurst Street going North. Proceed on Brookhurst Street past Warner Avenue. There will be a regional park (Miles Square Park) on your right hand side. The entrance to the courts is located on the right side, before you reach Edinger Avenue.

WOODBRIDGE TENNIS CLUB (WTC)
Woodbridge Tennis Club, 500 Springbrook South, Irvine, 92614. (714) 545-5072. To reach Woodbridge Tennis Club from the 405 Freeway, exit Jeffrey Road. Turn north on Jeffrey until you reach Alton Parkway. Turn left on Alton Parkway until you reach East Yale Loop. Turn left on East Yale Loop. Turn right on Springbrook (stop sign). Proceed down Springbrook, you will pass a school, the club entrance is on your right when the road bends around to the left.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT - SCHEDULE
As in the past, (12's-18's ONLY), 16 players will be "block seeded" and will not have to start the tournament until Friday June 20th. All other players will play preliminary round matches starting on Saturday June 14th and play down to 16 spots. The final rounds (32 draw) will begin on Friday June 20th. The final rounds will also conduct a modified feed-in championship, along with a quarterfinal match losers playoff for 5th place. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
This event is CLOSED to only Southern California players. Only those juniors who are citizens of the United States or resident aliens in possession of a valid Alien Registration Card, who legally reside within the geographic borders of the Southern California Tennis Association are eligible to compete in the Junior Sectionals. Juniors attending tennis academies in Southern California whose primary residences are in other sections or countries are not eligible to compete.

NIKE JUNIOR TOUR QUALIFYING EVENT (14's & 12's EVENT ONLY)
The Nike Junior Tour (NJT) is a worldwide series of junior singles tournaments for Boy’s and Girls in the 12 and 14 age groups. There are currently 22 countries participating in the NJT, representing over 60,000 players. Former NJT International Masters players include Rafal Nadal who won the event three times for Spain. The winner(s) of the USTA Sectional Championships will be invited to compete at the NJT USA National Masters, September 12-14 2008 at Stanford University CA. Nike provides round trip transportation, food and lodging for the Sectional winner(s) (B14, B12, G14, G12) plus one team coach. The NJT USA National Masters winners go on to play in the NJT International Masters. Expenses for the International Masters are paid for by Nike.
Nike Prizes are awarded to the Sectional Championship winners, finalist, 3rd 4th and the consolation winner and finalist.
AGE ELIGIBILITY: NJT USA play leads to the NJT International Masters where 22 countries participate. Therefore, to be eligible for the NJT USA National Masters and the NJT International Masters, players must meet the ITF (International Tennis Federation) age eligibility cutoff date of December 31. Example: If you are currently 12, but will turn 13 on or before December 31, 2008, you may play in the Section Championship in the 12's but WOULD NOT BE ELIGIBLE to compete in the 12’s at the NJT National Masters at Stanford or the International Masters in Italy. Players should consider the ITF eligibility to determine which age group to enter if they want to be eligible to go on to the NJT USA National Masters or International Masters.

DOUBLES
The doubles events are only 18 & under, the other divisions are held in November. Doubles play will begin on Saturday June 14th. There will also be 2 rounds of doubles on Thursday June 19th. If your school and/or graduation schedule is not condusive to playing Thursday afternoon, please consider this before you enter the doubles event.

SCHOOL CONFLICTS
If you have school conflicts during the tournament, you must let the Tournament Committee know of this ahead of time. As in the past, every effort will be made to accomodate a player's school schedule, graduation ceremonies, etc. If your match time is in conflict with school, you must let the tournament desk know of this immediately after your match so that the Referee can be contacted.

JIM HILLMAN JUNIOR SECTIONALS SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
The Jim Hillman Junior Sectionals Sportsmanship Award will be presented to one boy and one girl at this year's tournament. Congratulations to last year's recipients Anna Chkhikvishvili and Oscar Fabian Matthews.

The USTA Lateness Penalty wil be enforced. Please allow adequate time to get to your matches.

SCTA"ALL STAR" JUNIOR COMPETITION @ THE COUNTRYWIDE CLASSIC
For the 18 & under singles age division only: The SCTA will select the top 3 finishers at the SCTA Junior Sectional Championships in the Boys & Girls 18’s to participate in the 2nd SCTA "All Star" Junior Competition. This will be held Thursday August 7th-Saturday August 9th (date subject to change) in conjunction with the Countrywide Classic men's professional tennis tournament at UCLA. Players will receive a player’s credential, coach credential, parents’ guest passes and other player hospitality TBD at a later date. Specific format of the event will be determined at a later date.

This tournament is a Level 3 singles and doubles (18's doubles
only) tournament for USTA national ranking purposes. This
tournament is played at various sites in Orange County, with Los
Caballeros (Fountain Valley) as the headquarters for the
tournament. This event is open to all juniors that reside in
Southern California and are US Citizens or in possession of a valid
green card. The tournament committee reserves the right to request
any player during the tournament to provide an Alien registration
card. This tournament will utilize block seeding, for up-to-date
information, please visit our tournament home page at

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, June 1, 2008 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
