SPECIAL PARENTS PROGRAM FRIDAY
In addition to the free tennis clinic for juniors offered by Billy Stearns, this year we are pleased to offer a special program complimentary to parents of young athletes. Sports Psychologists Dr. Bryce Young and Linda Le Claire will be in town to present the same program they’ve delivered to parents at many USTA National events. This program is primarily designed to continue fostering the development of healthy parent-child relationships. Ancillary benefits are the improved athletic performance of your child and a healthy perspective on sports for both of you.
Joining Bryce and Linda is David Warren from the Sea Pines Resort, who has a son that competed in Junior Tennis and is now a sophomore playing for Davidson College. David will be on hand to share his experiences as a parent.
This program is being offered from 4-5:30 Friday, October 19 in the Heritage Room adjacent to the Harbour Town Conference Center (during the second session of the free junior clinic, and just prior to the complimentary dinner in Harbour Town). Reservations are recommended. Please call 843-363-4495 to reserve your space or for more information on this free program.
For more information on Bryce and Linda, please visit www.drbryceyoung.com.
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity!

In addition to enforcement of USTA conduct rules, the following are the Sea Pines Junior Championship's conduct rules.
The behavior of players, parents, officials and volunteers - regardless of the circumstances - will exemplify behavior befitting ladies and gentlemen.
No use of expressions of frustrations with references to any deity in any language will be permitted (e.g. "Oh my God", "Jesus Christ", etc.) either spoken or spelled.
No use of the word "suck" in any form.
No use of "freaking", "frigging", "fricking" or any variations or derivatives of the "F" word.
Your behavior applies to any language.
As a general rule if you have a doubt about whether you may use a particular negative expression, don't do it. While you are more than permitted to express yourself, verbal outbursts and language will be monitored closely. If you carry yourself in the manner in which your parents intend, you will have a smooth tournament.
