2007 State Games of America held in Colorado Springs, CO UPDATE
Akshay Damany, Lehigh Valley Region/Allentown, PA, the 2007 KSG Gold Medalist in Boys 14 Singles; Boys 12 Singles, KSG GOLD 2005; and Boys 14 Singles, KSG BRONZE 2006; won the Gold Medal for Boys 14 Singles and paired with Rayce Roberson, Abilene, TX, to win the Boys 14 Doubles Silver Medal at the State Games of America. Adam Telatovich, Pocono Region/Conyngham, PA, Boys 16 Singles, KSG GOLD 2005; won the Boys 16 Singles GOLD and then won the GOLD with his Father Edward in Father/Son Doubles at the State Games of America. Sara Lynn, Pocono Region/Berwick, PA, Girls 14 Singles, KSG SILVER 2007; Girls 16 Doubles, KSG GOLD 2007 with sister Katrina; and Girls 18 Doubles, KSG SILVER 2006 with sister Katrina; won the Girls 14 Singles BRONZE Medal and won the Girls 16 Doubles GOLD Medal with sister Katrina at the State Games of America. 2007 KSG Outstanding Tennis Athlete, Katrina Lynn, Pocono Region/Berwick, PA won the Girls 16 Singles GOLD and won the Girls 16 Doubles GOLD with sister Sara at the State Games of America. Katrina previously won the Girls 16 Singles KSG GOLD 2005; Girls 16 Singles KSG GOLD 2006; and Girls 18 Doubles KSG SILVER 2006 with sister Sara. At the 2007 Keystone State Games Katrina won Womens Open Singles GOLD, Mixed Open Doubles BRONZE with partner Fred Hockenbury, Girls 18 Singles SILVER, and Girls 16 Doubles GOLD with sister Sara.

2007 KSG Outstanding Tennis Athlete
The Tennis Committee has chosen the Outstanding Tennis Athlete for the games of 2007.
The recipient is Katrina A. Lynn of the Pocono Region/Berwick, PA. Katrina is 16 and has played up in all but the Girls 16 Doubles. Katrina won 4 medals at this years games. Here is the list of her accomplishments.
Womens Open Singles: Gold Medal
Mixed Open Doubles: Bronze Medal with partner Fred Hockenbury
Girls 18 Singles: Silver Medal
Girls 16 Doubles: Gold Medal with partner Sara Lynn, her sister.
This award does not just cover accomplishments on the court. Sportsmanship, attitude, and honesty are also considerations. I'm sure that those of you who have played with and against Katrina, know what I mean.
Congratulations to Katrina and good luck to her this Fall on her High School team at Berwick High School.
To all of you, Thanks for playing and making this 2007 tournament one of the best in years. Hope to see all of you next year and please also bring your Tennis playing friends.
