6:00 pm Thursday and Friday evenings. Be sure to check your start
time for each event you play. Players are to report to the site
indicated on the draw sheet. This is a Modified Consolation
tournament. Players losing in the main draw in either the first or
second round will be entered into the consolation draw. Correction
to the printed entry form- Entry is limited to two events. Players
may enter two doubles events or a singles and doubles event. Mens
4.5 doubles has been added to this event. Players will need to
provide their own water. Awards will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and
consolation in every event as long as there are at least 5
contestants. Free parking passes for those playing or watching at
the Appleton Tennis Center must be picked up daily at the
tournament desk. Note - parking locations are the Student Union
Visitor lot on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, parking will be
provided west of the Appleton Tennis Center, by the Special Events
Center. Signs will be posted. In the event of rain, matches will be
resumed after a brief delay. Players must check in with the site
director to establish exactly when they are to check in again.
Since this is a sanctioned tournament, players not present when
called after the rain delay will be subject to the point penalty
system which could lead to default. Players will need to report to
the same location to complete matches halted due to rain. Site
directors will announce if play is to be moved indoors to the Boas
Tennis Center (426-5737) on the BSU campus. Unfinished matches will
be put on court before any new matches are begun. If the tournament
becomes in jeopardy of not being completed by Sunday, the following
progression of adjustments will be made: -All consolation matches
will be changed to 8-game pro sets. A 12-point tiebreaker will be
played when the score is 7 all. - If necessary the championship
draws for both singles and doubles will be changed to 8-game pro
sets on a round by round basis. The tournament director will
announce any change to this format prior to the finals for each
event going on court. Site directors will have a cell phone number
