2. Complete directions and IMPORTANT other information that you need to read is at www.mcdonoghtennis.org (go to Tournaments then to USTA National Open).
3. Draws will be made at 6 p.m. Thursday night and posted on site and on this web site and distributed at 7 p.m. Friday night. Doubles sign up on site Friday night or Saturday morning (no need to contact us now).

Payment
If you are a player and you have been notified your credit card didn't work OR if you are an alternate who has now been accepted, you must pay the $75 entry fee by check. Please make it out to BTP and send it to Baltimore Tennis Patrons, 1107 Kenilworth Drive, Suite 101, Baltimore, MD 21204. (Note: This is NOT the address of McDonogh School, where matches will be played.)
GIRLS!
The list of alternates is being whittled down considerably. So if you're still thinking of entering, send us an email. You might still get in!
Players and Alternates
We have finally been given permission to download the player file. As you will be able to tell when the list is organized and uploaded, there are very few open spaces. NOTE: Look at the COMPETITORS list to see player status (the other lists stay static). The Alternates list will be ordered when USTA clarifies how that process is to occur. Alternates have often selected other sites, and may be accepted there, so the list is probably not as long as it appears. As Alternates are selected for the tournament, we will contact you by phone and, if we have it, email. PAYMENT: Credit cards are NOT charged until after the Player list is downloaded. And we do NOT keep your credit card number. So if you are an Alternate and are then selected, follow directions for Payment below.
Alternate Update # 2
Alternates are being ordered, first by National Standing and then by lot. This process has been completed and we have begun contacting girls to fill draw. Note: The waitlisted boys will not be posted on site at this point since we have so many alternates. But the girls will be -- we hope later today -- since we may have enough withdrawals to need to go to that list.
Wait List
A number late entries have been received and those players placed on the waiting list. With the number of entrants, chances of getting in are slim, but we will continue to keep the list. If you would like to be on it, email llevy@mcdonogh with name and USTA number (nothing else needed). If we do have space, we will contact you and offer it to you. (Note: Late entrants are, by rule, placed after other alternates who entered on line.)
Payment
If you are an Alternate who gets selected OR an accepted Player who is subsequently informed that your credit card transaction was unsuccessful, please send a check for $75 made out to BTP and mail it to: Baltimore Tennis Patrons, 1107 Kenilworth Drive, Suite 101, Baltimore, MD 21204. If you are selected within a day or two of the tournament start date, just bring the check with you when you sign in.
Withdrawing from the tournament
We do expect there will be some withdrawals. Note: You may only withdraw because of injury, illness, or personal emergency. Other withdrawals are considered Defaults and Code of Conduct reports will be filed in those cases. To withdraw, you must notify us in writing, preferably by email to llevy@mcdonogh.org. In accordance with USTA policy, only players who withdraw more than 7 days before the start of the tournament will have their entry fee returned. NOTE: USTA policy states you may NOT withdraw and then play at another site.
Changing Sites
If you wish to change sites, you must request permission in writing from both tournament directors (us at llevy@mcdonogh.org) at least 10 days before the tournament begins. The request may or may not be granted.
Play is at McDonogh School

We will ask ALL players to confirm doubles sign-up on site. You may simply sign up then, of course. NO need to inform us of doubles intentions, changed intentions, etc., at this time.
