ARE YOU PLAYING DOUBLES? WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Regardless of whether or not you signed up for doubles online, ALL players planning to play doubles need to inform the Tournament Director if you still intend to play doubles. Please e-mail the Tournament Director 1) if you are planning to play doubles and you already have a partner - include your partner's name, or 2) if you would like to play doubles and need help finding a partner. We will do our best to help pair players for doubles. DOUBLES ENTRANTS AND PARTNERS NEED TO BE FINALIZED BY FRIDAY, JUNE 30. ALL FINAL DOUBLES PAIRINGS WILL BE CONFIMRED BY THE END OF THE MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING AT 7:00 P.M. ON FRIDAY, JUNE 30. The 1st and 2nd round of doubles will be played on Saturday, July 1 (see Tentative Schedule of Play). Once you confirm your doubles entry with us we will place your name in the doubles event.The list of doubles players can be viewed by clicking on "Competitors" and then on the correct doubles event. IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO PLAY DOUBLES - Please e-mail us and let us know so that we can open up your doubles spot to another player.

DRAWS AND FIRST MATCH TIMES
Draws and First Match Times will be posted online and at the tennis center at noon on Friday, June 30. Any changes in first match times due to late withdrawals will be give to players at the Friday check-in and at the player meeting.

MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING - FRIDAY, JUNE 30
Players can check-in at the Tournament Desk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30. A mandatory player meeting will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. Please remember: all doubles entries and pairings will be finalized at the player meeting.

PRACTICE COURTS
The Midland Community Tennis Center has 16 outdoor and 16 indoor tennis courts. All tournament play will take place outdoors, weather permitting. On Friday, June 30, outdoor and indoor practice courts will be available at the tennis center from 3:30 - 9:00 p.m. Outdoor courts will be available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Indoor courts will be available by walk-on or reservation (with a credit card number) for a charge of $15.00 per hour. Starting Saturday, July 1, outdoor practice courts will be available, free of charge, at the tennis center from 6:30 a.m. until the start of play at 8:00 a.m. Once play starts, players can pay for indoor courts at the tennis center or can use other nearby outdoor sites (maps and directions will be available at the tennis center and will be included in player packets). For indoor practice court reservations on Friday, June 30, please call the tennis center at 989-631-6151. CANCELLATIONS FOR INDOOR COURT RESERVATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED AT LEAST ONE HOUR IN ADVANCE OR PLAYERS WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL RATE. Once the tournament starts, indoor court reservations may be cancelled by the Tournament Director if rain forces play to move indoors.

GROUP HITTING SESSION ON FRIDAY, JUNE 30
There will be a group hitting session lead by MCTC Director of High Performace, Kevin Brandalik on Friday, June 30. The session will run from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m., cost is $10.00 per player if signed up in advance, $15.00 per player for drop-in. Please call 989-631-6151.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF PLAY FOR SATURDAY, JULY 1
Singles play will begin at 8:00 a.m on Saturday, July 1. We will not be able to accomodate any special scheduling requests. All players must be available to play at the scheduled time. There will be one round of singles and two rounds of doubles on Saturday.

PLAYER DRESS CODE
PLAYERS - We appreciate your adherence to the following dress code which will be enforced during this tournament: Boys - no tank tops, shirts with cutoff sleeves, or shirts that refer to drugs, alcohol, or tobacco related products. Boxers must not show above or below shorts. Girls - No spaghetti straps. The bottom of the shirt must meet the top of shorts or skirts when arms are at rest (throughout the entire match).

MEDICAL RELEASE
ATTENTION PLAYERS - We MUST have a USTA & Medical Release form on file for you prior to your first match. Please use the following link to obtain a copy that you can complete and bring with you when you check-in for the tournament. Players will be able to check-in at the Tournament Desk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30. This form can also be found on the USTA home website: click on "Tournaments & Leagues". Under Juniors click on "Juniors Tournaments". In the right side column, click on "Entry Forms", and then "Medical Release Form".

SELECTED PLAYERS AND ALTERNATES
The list of players selected into this tournament can be viewed by clicking on the "Competitors" link above, and then the correct division (singles, doubles, etc.). For the ordered alternate list, please click on the links above. If you were selected as a main draw player and received an e-mail from the USTA that your credit card was declined, please call the Tournament Director immediately to provide updated credit card information and insure your spot in the tournament (989) 631-6151. ALTERNATES - if you are on the Alternate List and are still available to play, please e-mail the Tournament Director with your correct contact information. If we have incorrect information and are unable to contact you if a spot becomes available, we will go on to the next alternate on the list.

WITHDRAWAL INSTRUCTIONS
All withdrawal requests must be sent in writing by e-mail to Wendy Franz, Tournament Director (franz@midlandtennis.com) and must include player name, the event you are withdrawing from, the reason for your withdrawal, mailing address and phone number. Early withdrawals (for a bona fide reason) will be issued a refund after the completion of the tournament. No refunds will be made for any reason for withdrawals received after Friday, June 23.

ON-SITE ALTERNATES
Any player who is listed on the Alternate List can be an on-site alternate for this tournament. If you would like to be an on-site alternate you must check-in at the Tournament Desk on the morning of Saturday, July 1. Please contact the tournament director by e-mail at franz@midlandtennis.com or by phone 989-631-6151 to let us know you are coming and to get a check-in time.

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries will be accepted but will be placed on the bottom of the alternate list in the order received. Please e-mail the Tournament Director with late entry requests.

NATIONAL LEVEL 2
SINGLES: 64-draw, full feed-in consolation (players will feed into the consolation draw through the quarterfinals), scoring format is best of 3 tiebreak sets. DOUBLES: 32-draw, single elimination, scoring format is an 8 game proset. The tournament will begin on Saturday, July 1 and will conclude on Wednesday, July 5.

Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left.
