Hotel
The host hotel for the tournament is the Days Inn Hotel Circle located at 543 Hotel Circle South, San Diego, 92107. It is approximately 10 minutes from the Barnes Tennis Center. There is free airport shuttle, pool, hot tub, restaurant on site and an easy walk to Fashion Valley Mall and the trolley station. Phone 800-227-4743 for reservations and ask for the special rate for the "Boys 14 National Open." The discounted group rate is $79 for Sunday-Thursday and $85 Friday and Saturday. Deadline for booking rooms at this rate is Friday, April 28.

Check-In and Doubles Sign-Ups
Players must check-in 30 minutes before their first match. Players wishing to play doubles and who need a partner must contact tournament director by Friday, 4 pm. at barnescenter@yahoo.com or in person at the Barnes Center by Friday, 4 pm. Players must have a medical release signed by parent or guardian when they arrive for check-in or they will not be deemed "ready" to play. If you need the form, contact the tournament director ASAP.

Facility Amenities
The Barnes Center is a beautiful 25 court facility located near the beach, Sea World, and other San Diego attractions. Stringing, shower facilities, practice courts, snack shop, computer/homework room, players lounge with ping pong table and television are all available.

Withdrawals/Alternates
To receive a refund, players must withdraw by May 13. All withdrawals must be in writing: either fax to Anne Podney at 619-221-9076 or e-mail to barnescenter@yahoo.com Alternates are listed in order stipulated by USTA regulations and will be called by tournament director as soon as an opening develops. It is the alternates responsibility to ensure that phone number listed on usta.com is the correct number.

All matches will be played at the Barnes Tennis Center. Singles
draw is a full feed-in consolation and must be played to
completion. Playoffs and trophies for 3rd and 4th in both singles
and doubles. All participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt
and action photo as well as lunch on Saturday. Practice courts
available at site. For court reservations before May 20, call
619-221-9000. During play, courts are available on a first-come,
first-served basis.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

Players are selected from a designated Section or District ranking list.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 27, 2006 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
