MANDATORY CHECK-IN
Check-in will be open Thursday February 16,2006 from 2pm-6pm and Friday February 17,2006 from 7am-12noon at the Claremont Club. All players MUST check-in prior to playing their first match during one of these designated times. A medical waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian must be turned in at this time. A Claremont Club waiver will also have to be signed at this time. Blank waivers will be available for those who don't have them. PLEASE BE AWARE FIRST ROUND MATHCES WILL BEGIN AS EARLY AS 8AM ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17,2006. The draws will be posted Thursday prior to check-in.

DRAWS
The Draws will be posted on-line beginning Thursday February 16, 2006. We do not take time requests, players must be available to play during all tournament dates and times. The Boys' and Girls' 14's will be playing best 2 out of 3 sets for singles and 8 game pro sets for doubles with 10 point match tiebreakers at 8-8 in doubles. The boys' and girls' 12's will be playing 2 out of 3 sets for singles with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. The boys' and girls' 12's will also be playing a 8 game pro set for doubles with a 10 point match tiebreak at 8-8.

DOUBLES
All Players planning to play doubles MUST sign-up in person at The Claremont club by 12 noon on Friday February 17th, even if you registered for doubles online. If you need a partner, sign-up and we will help to match you with another player who needs a partner. It is not the responsibility of the Tournament to match a player with a partner, but we will do our best to help. ALL DOUBLES MATCHES ARE AN 8 GAME PRO SET WITH A MATCH TIE-BREAK AT 8-8.

HOTELS
HOTEL CLAREMONT (formerly Ramada Inn) is the official tournament hotel. Please indicate that you are playing in the Claremont USTA National Open to receive the special rate of $69.00/night plus applicable taxes. The hotel offers free shuttle service between the hotel and the Claremont Club. There are newly resurfaced tennis courts available at the hotel for practice, and a complimentary continental breakfast. Please call for reservations by February 6,2006 to insure a room and the special rate.The hotel is located aprroximately 5 minutes from the club. ( 840 S. SHERATON ONTARIO AIRPORT is also offering a special rate for tournament participants. Just indicate that you are with the Claremont Club USTA National Open to receive a special rate of $99.00/night plus applicable taxes. This rate includes a complimentary buffet breakfast. DIRECTONS TO THE CLAREMONT CLUB
From the 10 freeway going East or West exit at Monte Vista and go North(toward the Mountains) for approximately 2 miles. The Club is on Monte Vista just North of Foothill Blvd. on the left side of the street. From the 210 freeway going East or West exit at Baseline go West for 1 block to Monte Vista. Turn left(South) on Monte Vista, the club is 2 blocks down on the right side of the street. Directions and maps to the additional sites will be handed out at check-in as part of the player packets. (All alternate sites are with-in 3 miles of the Claremont Club.) Please be reminded that all players must check-in at the Claremont Club before going to their first round matches. Please read Mandatory Check-in message.

PLAYER DINNER
Their will be a pizza party Saturday February 18th from 5pm-6:30pm at the Claremont Club. All participants and parents are invited for the pizza and lemon-aid. Hope to see you there.

Players are selected from a designated Section or District ranking list.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 26, 2006 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
