Tournament Site
The site for the tournament is the University of Michigan's Varsity Tennis Center. The VTC is located at 2250 South State Street, one mile north of the State Street exit off of I-94 (Exit 177). Practice courts before the tournament will be available on a walk on basis at the U of M student rate. (Note: NCAA regulations prohibit the university from renting courts at less than the student rate.) Before the event, use of courts by VTC members will not allow the VTC to reserve courts for practice. During the tournament, practice courts will be assigned by the Tournament Desk.

Tournament Hotel
The Tournament Hotel is the Kensington Court, located at Exit 177, I-94 at South State Street, and less than one mile from the Varsity Tennis Center. A room rate of $82 per night, including 2 daily breakfasts per room, is available to tournament players. To reserve a room and receive the tournament rate, call 734-761-7800 or 800-344-7829 by November 18 and mention "Girls 16 National Open."

Schedule
Registration is Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 3-9 pm. Player meeting is Wednesday at 6 pm. For those not able to attend or are not in town for registration, call 734-998-8742 after 7 pm for first match time. If you will be in town later than 9 pm, we ask that you call the tournament desk before 9 pm to confirm that you are on the way. Registration will reopen at 7 am on Thursday, Nov. 24. On Thursday, players will play the round of 64 of singles, and then doubles. Doubles registration is open until 12 noon on Thursday. Players must sign up for doubles on site even if they have registered over TennisLink. Consolation will begin on Friday. The singles final is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28, at 12 noon. The consolation final is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28, at 12 noon. The doubles final will be played on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 27.

If the number is replaced, IN = has been accepted into the draw, OUT = either declined a spot, has a spot in another draw, or has withdrawn from the Alternate List. If the number remains, the player is still on the list. If there are more players needed on the numbered alternate list, they will be added in the order they are in on the October 26 National Standing List.
The draw has been made and will be posted on the web Wednesday. No refunds for withdrawls will be made as of this date, November 18.

Players are selected from a designated Section or District ranking list.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 27, 2005 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
