ABOUT CASPER FERNANDEZ
Casper Fernandez was an ASC student who sadly passed away in
the summer of 2017 after a brave battle against cancer. All donations will support sports education
and training for children undergoing treatment or recovering from cancer.

EMILIO SANCHEZ VICARIO FOUNDATION
The ESV Foundation is a
private and non-profit institution which was founded in 2010 with the mission
of promoting personal development and social integration through sports and
education. Emilio Sánchez Vicario, aware of the positive values that sport in
general and tennis in particular contributes to personal development, created
this foundation to promote tennis among people with physical, intellectual or
sensory disabilities, as well as people with limited economic resources. Always
through sport, the Foundation also contributes to the professional training and
job placement of these people, through actions such as the organization of
sports activities and the promotion of training.

TOUR MISSION
Players
will have the opportunity to compete with high performing US and international
U10 to U15 players in a 4 day tournament honoring the memory of Casper
Fernandez. The tournament will be supporting the Emilio Sanchez Vicario
Foundation in order to get donations and offer scholarships to young tennis

CATEGORIES & UTR
This a
UTR level based co-ed tournament using a combination of round robin, playoffs
and compass draw formats. Boys and girls will play together based on their UTR
and each category will have a minimum of 8 players. Trophies will be awarded to
the champion, finalist and third place of each category. All matches will count
towards the UTR.

COURT SURFACE
If one
of the players is playing on hard court next week at the Orange Bowl that match
will be played on hard court.
If both
players agree the match will be played on hard court.
Otherwise
any other match will be played on har-thru.

SCORING FORMAT
Singles: Best of 3 tiebreak sets with 10-point Match
Tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set.
Doubles: 8-game pro set with 7-Point Tiebreak at 8 games
all.

Singles
and doubles will be offered (4 singles + 1 doubles guaranteed matches).

DOUBLES REGISTRATION
Sign-in
will be on-site at the tournament desk on December 9 from 9am to 12pm. Matches will start not before 1pm.

TOURNAMENT BALL
3 new Penn Marathon balls will be provided per match. There will be no ball change.

PRACTICE COURTS
Practice courts will be available onsite
from December 6 from 10am to 4pm at a rate of $10 per court/hour. During the
tournament practice courts will be available on a first come first serve basis.

Club Regulations
Players
and their guests are welcome to stay in the clubhouse and use the services of
the restaurant and the main bar. Food or drinks from outside are not allowed in
the clubhouse, restaurant and main bar.
The
fitness center and locker rooms can be used by players only.
Daily
single passes will be available for players guests for $15 at the front desk
with full access to the club including olympic-sized swimming pool, jacuzzi,
steam room, sauna and fitness center.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to USTA Members, USTA Members who have an expired membership and Non-USTA Members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, December 5, 2019 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time.
