Player Selection Type
All players must abide the USTA Junior Player Oath as
"I recognize that tennis is a sport that places the responsibility
for fair play on me. I promise to abide by the rules of the game,
which require me to give the benefit of the doubt to my opponent.
At all times I shall strive to compete with the true spirit of
sportsmanship, recognizing that my behavior on the court is a
direct reflection of my character. Whether my matches end with my
victory or defeat, I promise to conduct myself in a way that honors
my opponents, those who support me, and the game of tennis."
Welcome National Players to Seminole Lake Family Tennis Center! We
are secluded back in Seminole Lake Estates on the water with a
relaxing inviting family atmosphere.
We have 13 newly resurfaced clay courts with a breezy 2 story
upper deck overlooking the courts for easy spectating,
restaurant, locker rooms, pro shop etc....
Friday, February 9th
Registration will be at the "Tournament Desk" located on the 2nd
floor in the 2 story building of the tennis club Friday, February
9th from 2 PM - 8 PM. Please bring your completed Release and
Waiver form (found in the "more information" link below).
Registration is MANDATORY, but if you are unable to attend because
of travel arrangements, please notify the Tournament Director by
calling (727) 394-1733. and email:
Players wishing to sign-up as an on-site alternate must do so
Saturday morning at the tournament desk by 7:30 AM. Sign-in will
close at 7:30 AM. The alternates will then be ordered
according to their ranking from the same National Standings List
that was used for selections - Published January 17.
Alternates can still play doubles even if they are not playing
singles IF there is a spot.
*Main draw best of 3 tie break set
*Feed in Championships best of 3 tie break set with a 10 point
tiebreak in lieu of a third set
*Quarter final playoffs best of 3 set tiebreak sets with 10-
point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set
*Doubles 6 game pro set with 7 point tiebreak at 6 all
Draw will be made and posted 4 days prior to start of tournament
This division will be a draw-size of 32 with a Feed-in
Championship through the Round of 16. The FIC shall be played to
completion. The quarterfinal losers will be fed into a separate
draw to playoff for 5th and 6th place.* The semifinals losers will
playoff for 3rd and 4th place. The FIC shall be considered part of
the tournament and participation is mandatory for all singles main
Consolations are mandatory; if your drop out you must let the
tournament director know OR penalty points will be assessed,
DEFAULT NO SHOW
Doubles Deadline will be February 6th by 6:00 pm.
Sign up for doubles: Both players need to send an email to the
tournament director by the 6th of February.If you need help finding
a partner please EMAIL the tournament director (NEEDS PARTNER).
All first round doubles will be played Saturday morning 8:00
You are automatically eligible for doubles if you are selected
Alternates not playing singles, can play doubles if there is a
DOUBLES PLAYED FIRST THING SATURDAY

ROUND WILL BE PLAYED AT 8:00 AM. SINGLES TO FOLLOW

There will be 2 hard courts and clay courts for practice throughout
the tournament "first come first serve reserve"
Stringing stringer will be available on property; $15
stringing only; $25,$30,$32 string provided
