DOUBLES
All players selected into singles are automatically entered into doubles as well. Players must email the Tournament Director at guillermo.lucero@surpriseaz.gov with their name and the name of their partner to be paired up. Players not wishing to play doubles must also email the Tournament Director to advise of their decision. Players without partners will be paired up randomly.

ENTRY AND SELECTION PROCESS
Selection: Players are accepted into a USTA National Level 3
Tournament using the most recently published National Standings List as
of the date entries close. Alternates: Alternates are ordered
using the same National Standings List used to select players into the
tournament. Players with no National Standing are ordered after players
with standing by random drawing. Late entries are placed on the bottom
of the alternate list in the order received. Late entries received at
the same time are ordered randomly.

DEADLINE FOR NOTIFICATION
PLAYERS SELECTED INTO MULTIPLE CONCURRENT EVENTS MUST NOTIFY THE
APPROPRIATE TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS BY TUESDAY, JANUARY 2, 2018, AS TO
WHICH EVENT THEY WILL COMPETE IN. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN
SUSPENSION POINTS.

MATCH FORMATS
Singles: Main Draw - Best of three tie-break sets. Consolation Draw
- Best of 3 with a Ten (10) Point Match Tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. FIC-R16, with a Quarter Final
Playoff. Main Draw Semi-final losers will play for 3rd and 4th place. Doubles: Single elimination. 8-Game Pro Set with 7-Point Tiebreak at 8 games all. There will be a 3/4 Playoff.
DRAW SIZE SINGLES: 32 Player Draw DOUBLES: 16 Teams

All matches will be played using Pro Penn Marathon Extra Duty Tennis Balls

DOUBLES
All players are automatically entered into doubles. PLAYERS MUST E-MAIL THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR THEIR NAME AND THEIR SELECTED PARTNER TO guillermo.lucero@surpriseaz.gov Players without a partner that do not notify the Tournament Director that they are not playing doubles will be randomly paired Players electing to not play doubles must email the tournament director to officially notify their intention to not play doubles. DOUBLES DRAWS WILL BE MADE ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 20 AT 12:00 PM NOON.

OPEN DRAW
An Open Draw will be held at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Club on Tuesday, January 16 at 1 pm. The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex is located at 14469 W. Paradise Lane in Surprise, Arizona.
Draws will be posted on or before 12 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2018

SATURDAY, JANUARY 20: Two Rounds of Main Draw Singles, One Round of Singles Consolation, One Round of Doubles SUNDAY, JANUARY 21: Two Rounds of Main Draw Singles, Two Rounds of Consolation Singles (Includes first round of Q-Consolation) and Two Rounds of Doubles MONDAY, JANUARY 22: Main Draw Singles Final, 3/4 Singles Final, Consolation Semi-Final and Final, Q-Consolation Final and Doubles Final

SITES AND PRACTICE COURTS
ON SATURDAY ONLY, MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED AT THE SURPRISE TENNIS AND RACQUET COMPLEX (STRC) AS WELL AS VALLEY VISTA HIGH SCHOOL (VVHS). Sunday and Monday all matches will be played at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex
Practice Courts will be available at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex on a first come, first served basis.

TOURNAMENT LUNCH
All players will received a boxed lunch from our Sponsor Chick-fil-A Surprise Marketplace. Players with dietary restrictions are asked to email those restrictions so accommodations can be made.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, December 28, 2017 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
