Congratulations to our Sportsmanship winners: Saturday: Charlotte Kein, Sunday: Julia Werdiger and the Overall Sportsmanship winner for the tournament was: Helena Lynn! Thank you everyone for your amazing overall behavior through out the weekend. Congratulations to our Tournament Champion Diya Challa and Doubles Champions Nina Wiesse and Linda Ziets-Segura. Good luck over the summer and we hope to see you all again soon!

National Clay Court Championships
National Clay Court Championships
All finalists and champions of the May National Level 2 will
automatically qualify for the same age division of the National Clay Court
Championships. Players must still register for the Clay Court Championships in
order to be considered for the event. To read more about the National

All Saturday Matches will be played indoors at Mendham Health and Racquet Club located at: 90 East Main Street, Mendham NJ. Club telephone number is: 973-543-4900 ALL MATCH TIMES HAVE CHANGED! CHECK THE DRAW CAREFULLY. WE HOPE TO BE BACK OUTDOORS ON SUNDAY. THERE WILL BE A FEE OF $10.00 PER MATCH. WE WILL BE PROVIDING LUNCH FOR ALL PLAYERS AND THEIR PARENTS ON SATURDAY!

Tournament Update!!!! 5/17 10:30 am
We are well aware of the wet weather forecast for Saturday. Check in remains at The Pingry School on Friday from 5-7 pm. We do anticipate just a cloudy day on Friday and courts will be open for warm ups starting at 5 pm. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY AS THE COURTS WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR OUR USE UNTIL 5 PM! Also note that only tournament participants are allowed to play on the Pingry Courts. Decisions will not be made to move indoors before Friday evening. Draws will be posted late Thursday!

Host Hotel Info:
The host hotel will be the Courtyard Marriott Basking Ridge. located at: 595 Martinsville Rd, Basking Ridge NJ 07920 Tel: 908-542-0300. A group rate has been secured under the name USTA at $139.00 per night. This hotel is recently renovated, and is located approx 2 miles down the road from the tournament site at The Pingry School. The hotel has a cafe, bar/lounge, indoor pool, outdoor patio areas, and there are many restaurants, food options located within 1/2 mile of the hotel.

Tournament Location
This tournament will be played outdoors at The Pingry School on our 12 brand new hard courts. Practice courts will be open Friday evening from 5 pm to 7pm. Check in will also be Friday from 5 - 7 pm. If you do not plan to check in Friday in person, please email me at: Ldwojewski@aol.com. You will be required to check in 1 hour before your 1st match time on Saturday.

FORMAT
SINGLES: Boys & Girls 12s Divisions: Mandatory Feed-in consolation draw (through the Round of 16). Quarter-final losers will be fed into a separate consolation draw to playoff for 5th and 6th place. Semi-final losers will playoff for 3rd and 4th place. All singles matches are best of three tie-break sets with a 10-point tie-breaker in lieu of a 3rd set.
DOUBLES: Single-elimination draw consisting of a 6-game set with no-ad scoring (7-point Tie Break at 6-6). There will be a 3/4 Playoff in doubles.

WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
All withdrawals must be submitted through email. We cannot accept withdraws via phone. They must be in writing and a valid reason/medical note included. Written withdraws should be submitted via email to Tournament Director dwojewski@aol.com . No refunds will be issued after entries close and acceptances are processed.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
As with all NJTS events we must collect the USTA Release & Waiver from all players prior to stepping on court. The form MUST be collected for every player. Please sign your medical release form, scan and email to Jphillips204@verizon.net BEFORE you arrive for the tournament. . more info

SEEDING CRITERIA
The following criteria shall be used to do seeding at national junior tournaments. Number of Seeds
Draw Size Required Number of Seeds 32 8 seeds: all seeded numerically
Singles Seeding Criteria for USTA National Level 2 Tournaments, USTA National Level 3 Tournaments, and Additional USTA Junior National Tournaments
Seeding shall be done using the most recently published National Singles Seeding List of the division in the order in which players appear. · Players from the National Singles Seeding List of the division may be moved within major groups (1-4, 5-8, 9-16, 17-32) due to direct wins if players are separated by fewer than 100 ranking points. · Players from the National Singles Seeding List of the division may be moved between major groups due to direct wins if players are separated by fewer than 50 ranking points. · Players not yet considered for seeding who have ratings within the competitive range of those being considered for seeding, may also be considered for seeding. Additionally a player already under consideration for seeding may be seeded higher or lower if justified by the competitive range of the ratings. Doubles Seeding Criteria
Seeding shall be done using the most recently published National Individual Doubles Seeding List of the division. · Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (For example, Player A holds the no. 1 standing and Player B holds the no. 10 standing. The Team of A&B would have the combined standing of 11). · Tournament Committees of 18-and-under tournaments may consider for seeding teams with players who have ATP/WTA rankings, ITF rankings, or ITA rankings. · The Tournament Committee of the USTA National Doubles Championship may consider for seeding teams with players who have ITF rankings. · Teams may be moved within major groups (1-4, 5-8, 9-16, 17-32) due to direct wins if the teams are separated by fewer than 100 ranking points.

TOURNAMENT BALLS
Wilson Regular Duty will be used for the tournament. New balls will be provided at the start of each match.

REGISTRATION
Players must register in person on Friday, May 18 between 4:00-7:00PM at the Pingry School, 131 Martinsville Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

DOUBLES
Players are responsible for finding their own doubles partners. Teams can sign-up for doubles by sending an email to Jphillips204@verizon.net. All request must be made by Monday, May 14th. If you need help in finding a doubles partner please email Jphillips204@verizon.net and we will try to find a partner for you to pair up with another player, please email me the name of your partner prior to May 14th. DOUBLES SELECTION PROCESS: The Tournament Committee shall accept doubles teams into the doubles event in the following order: 1. All teams comprising two players in the singles draw shall be selected. 2. Teams comprising one player in the singles draw and one player not in the singles draw. If more than the maximum number of entries is received, selection order is based on the most recently published National Individual Doubles Seeding List (see Determining Order Using National Individual Doubles Seeding List below), except that no team comprised of a Late Applicant shall be selected before a team comprised of timely applicants. Tournaments are NOT authorized to expand the draw size in order to accommodate these types of teams. 3. Teams comprising two players not in the singles draw. INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the case of inclement weather, play MIGHT move indoors. If this is the case, players will be charged $10 per match.

Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 26, 2018 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
