WESTWOOD COURTS PLAYABLE
The courts are playable at Westwood! Yay! Obviously we delayed the 9:15 am matches until 11:15 am per previous notices. However, you can make your way here and start warming up. It would be very appreciated for any players who are willing to check in early so we can get started on our day while we have dry courts. I will put matches on as soon as both players check in. The sooner we get singles going the more likely we will be able to get some doubles in this evening. We appreciate your help!

USTA APP HELP - MESSAGES
I have had several questions about finding the updates on the USTA app this morning. The website is really the best place because we can pin the notes to the top. However, you can find all our updates on the app. Go to the tournament and click info. Then change "all items" on top right to messages. The scroll allllllllllllll the way to the bottom. Ta da! They are there. Just a reminder that we are emailing to the email you included in registration as well. Tho I know several peoples emails are being bumped back each time for being invalid. Hope that helps!

RAIN DELAY 5/20 7:15 AM
Unfortunately Norman is still being hit with rain and we are uncertain when it will end. We are working with our indoor sites to see what options we have for the day, as well as keeping our eye on the weather. We are delaying the tournament start time until 10 am. At this point we might either start with doubles and/or consolation singles, depending on which facilities are being used. Please be prepared to play at 10 am or one hour past your original consolation singles start time (9:15 am singles would be 10:15 am) if you are in a doubles match or a consolation singles match. Main draw matches are delayed 2 hours at this point. Please check the tournament homepage for updated details. Keep an eye out for information regarding indoor locations and/or cost of indoors play if we move any matches indoors. Lisa Minihan

Inclement Weather Information Update & Copy of Email Sent 5/19 5:39 pm
I sent out the email below with information regarding weather issues. I am still receiving quite a bit of questions - as is my staff. First of all, let me assure that we have ran a national tournament in this date block for 15 years. With any May tournament, we get to deal with rain. A lot of rain. A lot of years. We are experienced and more importantly, we care about taking care of you and make the best decisions possible when facing weather issues. Secondly, because we care we know that the worst thing we can do is jump the gun and make decisions based on forecast or on possibility....we will make informed and educated decisions ONLY once rain has actually become an issue. . Third, If you need further info on inclement weather, please see below for the email that was sent out:
I am getting a lot of questions regarding the weather at the tournament. Apparently no one told the players that R-A-I-N is a 4 letter word!
We can't make any decisions tonight based on a forecast for tomorrow. We, of course, monitor the weather but we can't predict it. So we will wake up tomorrow morning and make a decision then if the weather is not favorable.
As always, the tournament homepage is your best resource for up to date tournament information. We will post on the website before we send emails or respond to correspondence. If we are able, we will also send an email like this one with information if there seems to be significant changes.
In the event we make a decision to use indoor backup, it will be because we feel it is necessary to complete the tournament in a timely manner. That decision is not made lightly. We have two indoor facilities that may be used: University of Oklahoma (Norman) and Oak Tree Country Club (Edmond). Both facilities are offering a discounted tournament rate to players of $10 per player per match. The court fees need to be paid to the site director in CASH. The site director will collect these cash court fees and pay the site. Please make sure you have cash and exact change with you if we go indoors.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation in the event of inclement weather. Have a nice evening!

PLAYER PARTY - SNOW CONES!
