For this event the SCTA rankings lists will be used for seeding.

GET HI-DEF VIDEO OF YOUR MATCHES!!!
During this JUNIOR OPEN, All matches played at the El Dorado Park Tennis Center will be recorded in HIGH DEFINITION.
These recordings, in flash drive format, will be available for purchase
by tournament competitors at a moderate cost. ($35.00 - P.C. or $40.00
Mac) This is a great service which can be used as a developmental tool
to move your game ahead or simply as a historical archive of your
matches. Check in at the Pro Shop to find out how to order yours. (Bring in your own 4 GB USB flash drive and get $5.00 OFF).

THIS IS A LEVEL 5 JUNIOR OPEN TOURNAMENT
|

ELIGIBILITY RULES 2017 LEVEL 5 EVENTS:
Players in the 12-18 age group who
are RANKED IN THE TOP 50 will not be allowed to participate in Open Level 5
events in their current age division. These events are meant for players moving up from Level 6 but not quite
ready for higher level events. (Player in the TOP 50 may only play up in the
next higher division of their age group) This does not apply to 10 & under
divisions.

If you have a "REAL" TIME CONFLICT, YOU MUST NOTIFY CATHY BY EMAIL at first.serve@verizon.net. We will do our best to accommodate your special request with your first round match but after that we CANNOT promise anything.

SCORING: 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS:
The 10 & Under divisions will play a "Match Tie-Break" in lieu of a third set using the "Green Dot" Ball.

SCORING FORMAT FOR ALL MATCHES
The scoring for ALL MATCHES will be Best of two sets with a 10 point breaker in lieu of a 3rd set
|

SCORING: ALL DOUBLES MATCHES:
ALL doubles matches will be BEST of 2 SETS. A 10-point "MATCH TIE-BREAK" will be used in lieu of a third set.

This tournament will use WILSON US OPEN Balls.

RELEASE: As part of the consideration for my child participating in this tournament, I release, discharge, and immediately and actively defend and hold harmless First Serve Tennis, Inc. Cathy Jacobson-Guzy and the City of Long Beach and any director, officer, employee, from all demands, causes of action, suits contracts, agreements, obligations, covenants, defenses, costs, liabilities and judgments, whatsoever, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, in contract or in tort which I might have against them, arising from my child’s participation in this tournament.
INDEMNIFICATION: I hereby waive all claims and demands against Cathy Jacobson-Guzy, First Serve Tennis, Inc and the City of Long Beach for any loss, damage, injury (including death) or claim of any kind arising from, related to or caused by my child’s participation in this tournament and agree to indemnify, immediately and actively defend, and hold harmless the Parties from all loss, liability, damages, costs, and expenses (including actual attorney’s fees) arising from or related to same.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, August 8, 2017 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
