ALL COURTS ALL DAYS:
Plan to warm up 4 per court at the site you play your first match.
Wednesday:
Indoor will be available for most of the morning for those who do not have 8 AM matches but want to warm up for their first round at UMW. JMHS and Kenmore are also options but not reserved. 5 minute warmup all day.
Thursday:
area High School that leaves courts open: Riverbend HS off of Rt 3 on Spotswood Furnace Rd..6 courts. 12301 SPOTSWOOD FURNANCE ROAD. FRED, VA 22407 for GPS. 5 minute warmup for your first match so warm up at home before coming for non-8 AM matches OR at Riverbend. Possibly courts at Kenmore Park.
Friday:
Kenmore will have some courts in morning.

THERE IS ADDITIONAL PARKING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TENNIS CENTER. THERE IS A GATE BETWEEN THE BUILDING AND THE SOCCER FIELD THAT WILL BE OPEN AND YOU CAN WALK RIGHT TO THE COURTS. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN ANY GRASS AREAS BY THE TENNIS COURTS OR ANYWHERE THAT IS NOT A PARKING SPOT OR YOU WILL GET A TICKET AND COULD BE TOWED

We wanted to give you some general guidelines on how we will run the tournament this year and the tentative tournament schedule for each age group.
First, the two biggest draws will begin on Wednesday, June 19. The last few years that has been Boys 18 and Boys 16. We expect to do the same this year unless another draw is much higher than either of these two. If there are several draws that are close, it will be B18 and B16 that will start on Wed. Draws will be posted by Friday evening.
THERE WILL BE TWO ROUNDS PLAYED PER DAY IN EACH AGE GROUP. Obviously you may not play 2 matches if there are byes or defaults in the early rounds. However, the MAIN DRAWS will be done in 3 days. Consolation will take one extra day.
We will TRY to have all round of 32 and beyond main draw matches at UMW on outdoor courts. Might not be possible with scheduling. However, several age groups will play their first round at an alternative site.
We will be using INDOOR courts for consolation matches. We will try to have the entire round of that gender/age group played at the same site, including indoors.

All participants can pick up their player packages at the site where they are playing.

UMW will provide ice water on the courts and injury ice behind the tournament desk. Unfortunately WE WILL NOT be able provide ice for personal coolers due to the tournament needs. Our cooler at the indoor center will be locked so please plan accordingly.

Immediately get in the right lane after turning onto William St. and just 20 yards up the hill make the right hand turn (more like bearing to the right of a Y)onto Hanover StreetYou will see the baseball stadium in front of you and to the right. Continue to the second right hand turn, which is just past the indoor University Tennis Center and is the entrance to the Tennis Complex.

UPDATE:
We cannot make any promises about starting times due to school conflicts. Please see "Tournament Schedule" in notes about information on which draws start on Wed and which on Thursday. The whole tournament will have matches that run from 8 AM - 7 PM each day. PLEASE EMAIL ME ALL EXAM CONFLICT REQUESTS by this Thursday even if you already sent me email with questions./conflicts. Here are some guidelines.... We cannot start any match later than 2:00 that would play a second match that day. That would have us potentially finishing too late. Also, starting late afternoon and coming from DC is clearly unpredictable with I95 traffic. Finally, there is NO WAY to know where your child will be in draw on day 2 of their event, so there are too many matches to schedule late with those players...won't work and not right to adjust schedule day by day for everyone's planning purposes. So, we will work with you on above on day 1 of your event. But after that, no promises. If you enter but have to pull out due to exams, please email me.

If you have exams on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, please contact Todd Helbling- thelblin@umw.edu and provide him with your detailed exam schedule so he can attempt to schedule matches around exam times. You will need to send him this information by Friday at 9 AM.

No Late Entries will be accepted as per USTA Mid-Atlantic Jr Tournament Regulations

All matches at UMW outdoors will be delayed from original start time.
