TOURNAMENT INSIGHT
This is an open tournament with all ages welcome to participate.
The tournament typically draws some high level juniors, many
college players, experienced open players, several teaching pros
and even some seniors eager to test their skills in an open level
national tournament. In 2010, a high school player by the name of
JACK SOCK won the National Open Men's division. In 2011, Jack won
the men's doubles division with his brother in a tight match
against two college players. Former touring pro Gretchen Rush and
Ros Nideffer won the Women's Open Doubles seven times!! Many
players have used this tournament as a springboard to the
professional level. For example, current touring pro CoCo
Vandeweghe won the bronze ball in 2007 at the National Open to get
her career started. Sign up now and count on some great matches at
the National Open Hard Court Championships!!!
