LEVEL 5 MIDWEST USTA POINTS PER ROUND and LEVEL 4 NATIONAL
POINTS PER ROUND- Doubles Only Event.
TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 32 DRAW DOUBLES AND INCLUDE A FEED-IN
CONSOLATION.
Due to this being a two day event, the Main Draw and Consolation
will play a Matchtiebreak (Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set,
with up to three matches a day for both the Main Draw and
Consolation. The Main Draw will be completed and the FIC
consolation will stop at the Finals.
DOUBLES ONLY EVENT
This is a Doubles Only Event (no Singles). Most USTA/Junior Tennis
Players play High School Tennis and will go on to play College
Tennis. 75% of the players in High School compete in the Doubles
Line-Up and in College , most of you will have to play Doubles.
Many College Dual Matches end up in a score of 4-3 with the
difference being……. the Doubles Point. It is very important that
you play and practice Doubles. Don't forget about the National
Points earned at this event which translate into added National
Singles Points due to the National Combined Standings.
SIGNING UP WITH A DOUBLES PARTNER
First, it is preferred that you sign up with a Doubles Partner of
your choice and enter his USTA number during your registration and
vice versa. Second , if you want to increase your chances of being
contacted by another player, please email PattyL58@comcast.net and
give the Tournament Director permission to give out your contact
information to another player. Lastly, if you do not have a
partner, please email the Tournament Director and request that he
pair you up at random with another player without a partner. There
may or may not be another player to do this with, or there may be
an odd number of players leaving one player out.

MONDAY , NOVEMBER 5TH BY 6PM
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SEEDING & SELECTION CRITERIA FOR
DOUBLES
This is National Level 4 Doubles Event with the Selection Process
to be followed in the following order. The Standings List in the
next younger division will not be used:
(1) Players selected from the most current USTA/National Doubles
Combined Standings List in the age division of the event.
(2) Players selected from the most current USTA/Midwest Doubles
Standings List in the age division of the event.
(3) Players who do not have a Doubles Standings will be selected
from the most current USTA/Midwest Singles Standings List in the
age division of the event. Both player's singles standings will be
added together and divided by two and this combined number will be
their Midwest Doubles Standings number.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM AND SIGNING UP FOR
TWO TOURNAMENTS
Signing up for two events: The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension
Point System that has been adopted by the USTA/Midwest Section
Junior Competition Committee is in effect. Before the deadline, an
email must be sent to each Tournament Director before the entry
deadline informing them which events you are signing up for. All
players who do not will be given five (5) suspension points for
entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time,
in whole or in part. This applies to all players who signed up for
the tournament including Alternates. You are expected to play the
entire event as scheduled.
SCORING
All Main Draw and Consolation matches will play a Matchtiebreak
(Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set with advantage scoring on
all matches. Some players may be playing up to three matches in a
day. A player will be entitled to a three minute break after
splitting sets and before playing the Matchtiebreak.

two miles from the club. Mention the USTA Tournament
Special and receive a discounted rate. You cannot book this
rate code online, you must call. It offers a fitness room with
cardiovascular equipment as well as free weights, an indoor pool
with towels provided, and a nearby biking trail. There's also a
restaurant inside the hotel. The restaurant is open for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner Monday-Saturday (lunch not available on

PRACTICE/WARM-UP COURTS
Riverside Athletic Club will be offering a limited amount of
Practice Courts on Friday night, Full court for an
hour for the reduced rate of $28 per hour. Warm-Up
Courts start Saturday and go through Monday and are on a
Half Hour basis only. On Saturday we will have warm-up
courts throughout the day on a limited basis for your convenience
and for the later start times. You will need to pre-pay for the
courts with a credit card.
FIRST ROUND REPORT TIME INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH AT 6PM.
Come back to this page on and click on the blue our front desk does
not have them. Players from the same district will not play each
other first round unless an alternate fills a spot or more than
half the draw is from the same district.
ORDER OF PLAY
SATURDAY SUNDAY Play begins at 8am. Main Draw will
play the Rd of 32, Rd of 16 and Quarters and the FIC will play the
Qualifying Rd of 16 and the Rd of 16.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
