TOURNAMENT SITE

All tournament matches will be played at Belvidere North High
School. The tournament site has 8 outdoor hard courts. All
tournament matches will be played outdoors, weather permitting, but
we have adequate indoor back-up, if necessary. The tournament will
begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2.
The high school has 8 hard tennis courts - located in NE corner of
the campus. Enter off of Squaw Prairie road.

USTA NATIONAL LEVEL 2 TOURNAMENT
For ranking purposes, this is a USTA National Level 2 Tournament.
The DRAW SIZE will be 32 for singles and 16 for doubles. This
tournament will feature a feed-in consolation (FIC) and a 3rd-4th
place playoff for the singles draw. The scoring format for Main
Draw Singles will be the best of three tiebreak sets. The scoring
format for the FIC matches will be the best of three tie-break sets
with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. Players losing
in any main draw singles round through the quarterfinals will be
entered in the FIC. Play in the FIC is mandatory, as is the 3rd-4th
place playoff. Doubles scoring format will be an 8-game pro-set
with a match tiebreak (first to 10, ahead by 2) at 8-games all.
Doubles will be single elimination and will have a 3rd-4th place
playoff.
MAIN DRAW AND ALTERNATE SELECTIONS
The entry deadline for this tournament is Thursday, June 7 at 12:00
P.M. NOON (Eastern Standard Time). Once the entry deadline passes,
the USTA will begin work on the selection process for all of the
National Open Tournaments. Please click on the following link for
details on the USTA Selection Process. The lists of players
selected into this tournament, and an ordered alternate list, will
be posted on this site by 11:59 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13.
Additional important tournament information will also be added to
this site at that time.

TENNIS CENTER, 7801 East State Street, Rockford, IL 61108.
DOUBLES
ALL players selected into the singles draw will also have the
option of playing doubles, regardless of whether or not you
register on TennisLink for doubles. Once players have been selected
into the singles draw, we will require all players who plan to play
doubles to confirm that with the tournament director by e-mail.
YES...we will want this e-mail confirmation even if you signed up
online. We will also do our best to help you find a partner, if
necessary. We will find a partner on first come first serve
basis.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF PLAY
Monday, July 2: SINGLES MAIN DRAW Round of 32 and Round of 16,
SINGLES FIC CONSOLATION DRAW First Round, DOUBLES Round of 16 and
Quarterfinals. Tuesday, July 3: SINGLES MAIN DRAW Quarterfinals and
Semifinals, SINGLES FIC CONSOLATION DRAW Second Round and
Quarterfinal Qualifier, DOUBLES Semifinals. Wednesday, July 4:
SINGLES MAIN DRAW Finals and Third-Fourth Playoff, SINGLES FIC
CONSOLATION DRAW Quarterfinals and Semifinals (the Consolation
Finals will not be played), DOUBLES Finals and Third-Fourth
Playoff.
TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWAL INFORMATION
All tournament withdrawals BEFORE the entry deadline must be done
on TennisLink. ALL withdrawal requests AFTER the entry deadline
must be made in writing by e-mail to Lukas Burkon Tournament
Director, at lukasb@forestcitytennis.com. Requests must include
player name, USTA number, a detailed reason for the withdrawal,
mailing address, and phone number. All written verification should
be e-mailed to Lukas Burkon, Tournament Director. PLEASE NOTE -
THERE WILL NOT BE ANY ENTRY FEE REFUNDS, FOR ANY REASON, FOR
WITHDRAWALS MADE AFTER NOON ON MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2012.
DRESS CODE
Players will be expected to wear appropriate tennis attire
befitting a national level tournament during all tennis matches.
Any player not meeting the dress code will be asked to change
before going on the court. BOYS-No tank tops or sleeveless shirts
that are not designed specifically for tennis by sports
manufacturers. Boxer shorts must not show above or below shorts.
GIRLS-The bottom of the shirt must meet the top of shorts or skirt
when arms are at rest (throughout the entire match). Players
wearing compression shorts may be asked to put on conventional
shorts or skirts over them.
PRACTICE COURTS
Practice courts will be available at Belvidere Central Middle
School. 8787 Beloit Road, Belvidere, IL 61008. Practice courts will
be available throughout the tournament.

We offer pros to hit with the players. The cost is $55 for 1-hour
