RULES, SCORING
Please make sure you check your times and note second round or consolation times should you lose your first round. All matches are two sets, ad scoring, with a 10 point super tie breaker for the 3rd set. There is a two minute rest period between sets, and between the second set and the super tie breaker.
All consolation and 3rd place matches are an 8 game pro set, no ad scoring, with a set tie-breaker (first to 7 points by 2) at
6-6. All matches to be held at the Belvedere Tennis Club. Please check in 15 minutes before you scheduled match time.
If you’re in the Boy’s 10’s, that is a round robin division, playing one set each round, no ad scoring, with a set tie-breaker at
6-6. Please make sure you check all the round times as some rounds have different times and days.
Parents, please remind your child of proper court etiquette and sportsmanship rules. Unsportsmanlike behavior (throwing racquets, hitting racquet hard against the court, loud or foul ) will result in point and game penalties. Also, remember, once your child has taken the court, there may not be any type of conversation other then saying “good shot”, etc. No coaching is allowed at anytime. If your child is playing on a court with an adjacent court next by, make sure they understand how to deal with balls coming on to their court, and balls they hit that go on to an adjacent court. They should never enter another court to retrieve a ball while play is going on.
Please also remind your child that a ball is good unless they clearly see it out and they are 100% positive. If there is a problem with line calls, please come and get one of the tournament personnel. Please don’t get into loud discussions or arguments on the court that disrupt other players. I always advise that is better to err on the side of playing balls that are close. In most cases, you will get the same in return.

Please also note that the BTC Grill will be open and there will be lunch specials for the players. We will provide bananas and a few other items at the desk.
