REGISTRATION DAY/CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
The MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING IS at 8:00AM on Saturday July 7 at the Baseline Tennis Center, 1815 4th Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455. Player check-in and doubles sign-up begins at that time and play will begin shortly after the meeting. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DOUBLES PARTNER, PLEASE E-MAIL THE INFORMATION WHEN KNOWN to pratt038@umn.edu. Otherwise, doubles partners will be formed at the player meeting.

DOUBLES INFORMATION
On-site doubles registration will be completed at the MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING. If you have a partner selected before the player meeting, please e-mail the information to the Tournament Director, Pratt038@umn.edu before the player meeting.

TOURNAMENT SURFACE
The tournament will be played on the outdoor hard courts at the Baseline Tennis Center. Indoor courts will be used in case of inclement weather.

DRAW AND MATCH FORMATS
All Singles matches will be best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in Lieu of a 3rd Set. Singles are full feed in consolation events. All Doubles Matches are an 8 Game Pro Set with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak at 8 games all and are single elimination events. The consolation singles event will be played out through the semifinals.

DRAW INFORMATION
The singles draw will be made on Monday July 2 at 1pm and will be posted online on Tuesday July 3 at 5pm. The doubles draw will be made after the players meeting on July 7. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DOUBLES PARTNER, PLEASE E-MAIL THE INFORMATION WHEN KNOWN. Otherwise, doubles partners will be formed at the player meeting.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Day 1: 2 rounds of Singles and 2 rounds of Doubles. The rest of the schedule will be posted at a later date once the number of players are finalized.

INDOOR BACKUP POLICY
Due to inclement weather the Baseline Tennis Center has 10 indoor courts available for play.
|
|
PRACTICE COURTS
7:00-8:00am each morning practice courts will be available free of charge. Players will sign up for practice courts the day before or morning of on a 1st come 1st serve basis. There may be up to 4 players on each court. Indoor practice courts are available at a rate of $20 per hour unless weather requires the event to move indoors.

DRESS CODE
Appropriate tennis attire is required. Please no torn clothing or jeans. Absolutely no running shoes or cross trainers allowed. Only shoes made specifically for tennis.

PARKING
Due to the close proximity of the Baseline Tennis Center to 4 major athletic venues, parking may be at event rates (up to $10.00/car) with no in/out privileges. Metered parking is available behind the building at $1.25/hr (quarters only) as available. Please consider carpooling, walking a longer distance, etc. to minimize the impact of these events. RACQUET STRINGING
Racquet stringing is available at the Baseline Front Desk. If you have your own string it will be $19 per racquet. Baseline also has a large selection of Babolat string ranging in price from $26-$35.

SEEDING
Seeding will be completed using the June 27 National Rank List.
|
|
HITTING PROS
Hitting pros will be available for the event and you must sign up a day in advance through the tournament director at Pratt038@umn.edu. Rates are $35 for 30 minutes or $65 for an hour.
