Doubles Sign UP
All players were denied doubles entry do to a procedure we had to follow for singles selection. All players in main draw singles will have the ability to play doubles. . If you signed up with a partner that information has been inputed. Each age draw is limited to 16 teams. Players may only compete in the singles age division played. No cross age teams will be permitted. You may still sign upfor doubles on Friday at Kalamazoo College between 4-7pm. We will maintain a "looking" list to assist you. We reccomend that players confirm their entry at that time. Doubles draws will be made after player check-in.

Tournament Format
All USTA National Opens andUSTA Regional Tournaments - January, September & October Segments
Singles: 32 Draw FIC played through Semis, 3/4 Playoff
BG 18/16/14: Main Draw Best of 3 sets. FIC will have a Match TB in lieu of the 3rd Set.
BG 12's will have a match tiebreak in both the main and consolation Rounds.
Doubles: 16 Draw, Single Elimination, 3/4 Playoff 8 game Prosets (all divisions) The Event is a NATIONAL LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT MIDWEST LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT

Draw Sizes and Locations
Boys and Girls 12, 14, 16 & 18 Divisions are 32 draws all on on hard courts. All Doubles Draws are 16 draw and on hard courts. Saterday sites are as follows: Kalamazoo College/ Girls 18's and 1/2 Boy's 18's. Western Michigan University/ 1/2 Boys 18's, Boy's 16, Boy's 14. Portage Northern HS/Girls 16's +1/2 Girls 12's. Portage Central HS/1/2 Girls 14. Portage West Middle/ Boy's 12 & Girls 12's. Sites subject to change. Please see individual player assignments for specific info.

On-site Alternates
If you wish to show up as an on-site alternate, Players must checkin at Kalamazoo College by 7:45 am. Sign in and we will take players by order of the national standing list (Players who are already on the alternate list have priority over players who are not.

Entering multi-sites or age divisions
The tournament director gives his permission for players to enter multi-divisions or sites. It is not necessary to email for permission from this event. However, all players should be responsible to the USTA for the rules regarding this practice. Players who fail to withdraw by the prescribed deadlines will forfeit entry fees.

Entry Refund Policy
Selections have been made and a 2 day period has now elapsed. Entry fees ae now non-refundable. Please don't ask. If you signed up in multible locations, it was your responsibility to have withdrawn within the allowable time period. Sorry no exceptions.

Kalamazoo is surrounded by many airports. There are locations and times to fit all budgets. Driving time from area airports are as follows: Kalamazoo- 5min. Grand Rapids-1 hour. Detroit-2 hours. Matchtimes / Draws
SCHEDULE OF PLAY/START TIMES/
Play will begin at 8:30 am Sat. and will open with 1 round of doubles. All players that don't have a bye will be playing at 8:30. The draws will not be posted in doubles until the sign-in is completed Friday night at 7:00 pm. Therefore, sites will not be available until at least 8pm. (Singles times and locations will be posted here by Thursday morning. However, the draw will not be posted until the end of checkin Friday evening) 2 rounds of singles will the preceded the second round of doubles on Saturday. Singles will be two out of three sets. Consolation and 12's events are utilizing a match tie-break for the third set, doubles will be 8 game pro-sets. There will be a 3/4 play off in both singles and doubles.

Tournament Check-in
Player sign-in will be held at Kalamazoo College...Stowe Tennis Stadium on Friday the 31st, from 4-7pm. The address is 1200 Academy road Kalamazoo Michigan 49006. While this is not mandatory it is highly reccommended. Players will have their last chance to confirm or find a doubles partner. Players packets and T shirts will also be handed out.Players may opt to not check-in untilll Saturday at their sites. However, they are then responsible for being ontime. No excuses will be accepted. Remember all doubles begins at 8:30 am!!

Player Notice: Seeds are not final!!
Players should be aware that the seedings could shift slightly. Before the draw is made alternates could get in a few age divisions (low alternate pool) that may impact the seeding order. This could occur if pullouts cause late accepted player entries into the draw. In most causes this would shift the order by a single spot. Please take note of this possibility.

Players must remember that if they do not have 100 national ranking points then the players of the next youngest age division may be listed above you....that is if they have 100 national points in the lower age division.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, August 2, 2012 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
